Hi everyone,

I am the proud owner of an X7, and i've heard about power tubes. i can't seem to find info on the hell they do to help (or hurt) your marker's performance. I know that JCS has a power tube for the X7, is it any good as far as power tubes go?

oh and holy crap i havn't posted in a long time, heck its porbably been a year, lol

plz respond

They house valve, and hold the alignment of the bolt and hammer (a.k.a. rear bolt). You have one in your marker, made of plastic. What you've been seeing is aluminum power tubes, usually built for durability reasons.

Here is how the A-5 works which is pretty much the same as an X-7. The orange outline in the middle is the Powertube, JackRock already beat me the the explination.

If you would like to know more about your X-7 you should check out the Tippmann FAQ in the Tippmann section of this Forum.

Don't expect to get better performance out of a new one. Metal ones can be a nice replacement though if your stock one cracks - for durability reasons. However, the ones that come with your marker are almost always plenty durable.
