ok i have a PMR and i got a new back cap and i changed it but when i ttok it off it somehow or another got cross threaded, so now i am stuck with a pmr no back for it and cant put one on it because the htreads are messed up, i thought about sending it in for dye to fix but iv never done anything like that and dont want to screw it up and loose my PMR, i also thought about just taking it to a machine shop and just have them rethread it, im kind of in a delima what should i do

Since you are unsure I say take the pmr and back cap to a machine shop and explain the problem. They can help you better since we don't have the marker in front of us.

Let them know that teflon tape can be used on the rear cap as a sealer.

Dont take it to a machine shop it will void warranty and they could mess it up...unless you have no other options then I guess you could take it to them.

Bring it to your local store if possible they may be able to help you we cant see the gun so we cant tell you if its an easy fix or not...the store will also know how to send the gun into dye...they are a good company and as long as you track/insure the package you should be fine.

Yes you can call dye. They would give you an authorization number. Dye USA: (858) 536-5183

Then you mail it in.
