this is an article i found on the Waynes world of paintball website

"From: Paintball Toxicosis in Dogs
By: Caroline W. Donaldson, D.V.M.

From January 1998 to January 2003, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) received 44 calls regarding paintball ingestion by dogs that subsequently developed clinical signs.
In some cases, the dogs may have ingested as many as 500 paintballs at one time. Paintball ingredients vary depending on the manufacturer...
In dogs, the most common clinical signs reported to the ASPCA APCC were vomiting (with or without paint) ataxia, diarrhea, and tremors. These signs occurred as early as one hour after ingestion.
In two cases, the dogs were euthanized because their central nervous system signs were unresponsive to treatment; no other deaths were reported.
The exact number of ingested paintballs required to cause clinical signs is unknown. In one case, a 90-lb (41-kg) Labrador retriever showed clinical signs after ingesting 15 paintballs.

If you believe that your dog is a victim of Paintball Poisoning, please refer to - or direct your veterinarian to the following website: http://www.aspca.org....pdf?docID=1521

Thank you,
Wayne and Jackie Dollack "

heres where i found the Link

this means do not feed paintballs to your dog as treats!

We have a pair of dogs that are at our local field. They eat paintballs all the time but I've never heard of them getting sick.

Of course you'd be sick eating 500 paintballs at one time, lol. It may be some dogs though. Alot of peoples' dogs have eaten paintballs before and not get sick.

This proves my theory.. If a dog can eat 500 paintballs, dogs obviously do NOT have ANY taste whatsoever.
Thus, also proving, why my dog does not chew anything he eats. Even if said food is BIGGER than him.
I can't believe I ate the whole thing.

Isn't it amazing how we can skew the data so easily to make it look how we want? Most likely, the two euthanized dogs had pre-existing or co-existing conditions. But either way, if you're dumb enough to ingest more than 1 or 2 paintballs, you are going to have a bad case of either diarrhea or vomiting or both. With a really bad case, you're going to dehydrate yourself so bad from vomiting that, surprise surprise, you're going to die.

Sheesh! You can die taking a bath or slipping in the shower! Guess we'll just have to stop doing that.

Headline should read "DOGS THAT EAT MY PAINTBALLS RISK LIFE" not because they will get sick from ingesting the paintballs, but because 500 paintballs is about $15-$20.
Team Krisis
You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last night, or that you got a ticket on the way there...your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth... live it... love it..

How the hell could you stop me? Why in the world would you try? I go hard forever that's just how I'm designed, that's just how I was built.

I constantly hear of canines eating paintballs and being just fine. A nasty case of the runs, but otherwise just fine.
This is my sig. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My sig is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My sig, without me, is useless. Without my sig, I am useless. I must type my sig true. I must spell better than my enemy who is trying to judge me. I must type before he ridicules me. I WILL... My sig and I know that what counts in this forum is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the splatter we make. We know that it is the hits that count. WE WILL HIT... Before the Admins, I swear this creed. My sig and myself are the defenders of my forum. We are the masters of our enemy. WE ARE THE SAVIORS OF MY PROFILE. - Tippmann Owner #pi

we had a couple of dogs who had eaten paintballs come into the clinic. the only problems any of them ahd was they were vomiting. everytime they came in we gave the dogs some injections to make them vomit but that was just because many owners though that paintballs are deadly if eaten.
in otherwords. the only problems ive ever seen with a dog eating paintballs is stupid owners.

I also now fully understand your name of brokepballer- Dark Shadow Hunter
