Its a pretty good package, but a steel tank doesn't give many shots, and unbalances the gun, and I don't like the look of the Egg.
hi i love paintball. do you?
Put this in Your sig if there was a fire in your house and your paintball gear would be the first thing you grab.[b][color=#33CC00]

Steal tanks give the same amount of shots as any other 50/30.

can anyone vouch for the steel tanks compact-abillity on a mini? is it too long of a tank to serve a purpose on such a small gun?

Again, that depends the size of the stealie. Just because it weights more doesnt mean its massively larger.

fine. would a 48ci 3000psi steel tank be a good fit for a mini? how many shots would I get from it?

I'm sure that is a good size for a mini, I'd expect 4-600 shots from that kind of tank, I'm getting a 70/4500 peanut tank, it will be just as compact as a 45/3000 or a 45/4500 and offer almost twice as many shots.

Though if you want a 45/45 tank I've got one for sale in the BST section :D that way you can have a light and tight tank.

don't know that much about eggs, a friend of mine had one on his Mini and liked it alot... that is until the feedneck snapped off in the middle of a game. I picked up a used Reloader B off the nation for 50 bones and have been really happy with it

General rule of thumb, take the ci (the first number) x 10(if its 3000psi, the second number) or 15(if its 4500). Markers and regs are more efficient nowadays though so you could very easily get more shots.

One of my friends has a ReLoader B and he prefers my Egg (I hate the thing). However theres no doubt that my VLocity performs the best.

Another rule of thumb since we're on the subject of compactness relative to tank size...Its personal preferance BUT if you want a 'gauge' for as far as perfect form goes, you want the tank to reach your elbow. Plug in the tank into the asa and grip the marker with one hand and extend your elbow. If the tank doesnt get to your elbow, you may want a larger tank and visa versa. Now as far as stub's go, they're a great alternative to saving space and gettin more shots, but I noticed when I play really tight in lower bunkers and the snake etc. that the tank is exposed more when I snap out, possibly resulting in tank hits.

I have a 60/30 crossy and a 48/45 DXS. I used a stub from Crossy as well for awhile on a Shocker, its comparable to the 60. The 60 is a tad too large and the 48 is a tad short. I like to use my 14in Edge but if I use the 48 I try to use my 12in Freak. The reason being is because I dont have as much support running and gunning so I try to even things out. Both of them are light and the regulators are good so other than the 48 holds a little bit more air, theres no performance differance so it all comes to personal preference.

Yea i guess I should have said he should get 4500 PSI tank instead of 3000, which they don't have for steel tanks.
