Played at my local field today and had an overall great day. During the final game i brought out my pump marker, and the first 15 minutes of the game i took a guy out in one shot, while he was clearly about 100' away. Is this a common occurrence or did i get a very lucky/good shot today?

Not at all. If you are patient and have a good shot, you should take it. The only question at that point is will the ball break.

Happens all the time when you play pump on a regular basis.

You just get accustom to your gear it abilities to the point you can take those amazing shots without surprizing yourself...the other guy however is usually a bit surprized!

I was playing a game on a course we call "WWI". Mainly its a series of bunkers parallel to eachother which makes advancing difficult without getting a lucky shot. Fortunately I broke open the left side of the course one game and made a run about 30' up until I could shoot down the side of another bunker on the other side of the field. The guy behind that bunker looked at me then ignored me because he thought it was too far away for me to break anything on him. I arched my phantom up about 25degrees and one-shotted him on the noggin.

I get 1 ball snap shots quite a bit. Those can be pretty impressive sometimes.

Many of times, but mostly it's just luck. I've done it with my apex maybe two or three times, by just firing once, otherwise it takes about 3 shots.
Aim for anything that is visible, most of my shots are either leg, elbow or head... that is if you see me first.

I'm pretty good at it. Though mine aren't true "one ball" eliminations. There's usually a couple of gauging shots to figure the wind and angle. It's nice when the person is just sitting there though.

For those shots over 100', I really prefer to shoot one ball at a time. You shoot more than that and you're just going to be wasting paint.

My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

I myself have never really done a "one shot one kill long range" moment but have been on the receiving side of one. It was an amazing shot, over 100'. I have still to this day no clue how my buddy pulled it off. I was, or so I thought, out of range, And bam i get one in the forehead :) I swear the wind must have been right or something, it was just pure luck I figure

Both my friend Ev and I regularly pull off shots like that. If I have a good clean shot on a long distance target, my SP-1 can make it, but I do the same thing Pirate does by figuring out the perfect angle first. Everyone I play with at my field knows how deadly we can be at long range. Ev uses a phantom half the time, so those kinds of shots come even easier to him.

I've had a few long range one ballers...but I wouldn't say they are necessarily entirely skill...but it can be done...ecpsecially from the top of the shalebank...you have a clear shot down the hill quite a ways.
