BT Barrels are not bad at all, in fact, in my experience they're quite good. I use a Hybrid J&J Ceramic 18" with an Apex Tip now, but I've used most of those barrels in the past. Here's how to really review them.
The BT Apex is real nice, it has incredible functions, but its stock barrel is a very poor Paint to Bore match, so the best thing you can do is switch it onto a better barrel. The added range is real fun, Its much fun to run out on the field shouting, "You can't hit me, but I can hit you!" and gogging them as they run up.
Twister Barrel, used it for a month, it was one of the quieter barrels I've used, it had very good accuracy, I borrowed it so I didn't know the price, can't believe its only about 60 bucks, I expected it to be a 120+ dollar barrel. Its too shiny for my tastes, being a mil-simmer, but it was a nice loaner.
Flatline for the 98 Custom, I used it for about half a year, veeerrryyyy good barrel system, kinda annoying to set up, it has the hardest installation of any barrel system on the market, and if you screw it up it'll mess your shots up, but it performs quite well when done right. Nice for mil-simmers, its kinda bulky, but no more so than my X36 shroud so I guess I don't mind.
Flatline for the X7, once again, I borrowed it for about 2 months, just checking it out. I'm not a big fan of how it looks, although its not as long and strange as the other flatline series, its still kinda strange. I can't say I noticed much of a difference, although it might have been just me, but it sounded much louder than the 98 custom or A5. Roughly the same range and pattern of shots.
Do you have something against Awesomeness? The J&J is quite possibly the best series of barrels available to those of us not willing to fork over 200 Clams for a high end barrel system. The edge kit is a gift from the gods, forged by Thor's hammer in Vahalla, shined and polished by Osiris, who can't play much lately as he's missing one of his arms again, tested by Zeus, Who is a Tippmann fan by the way, and then sent to the earth to be copied and sent all over for us mortals to enjoy ourselves with. Thats right, its so cool it penetrated into three ancient religions, and earned the approval of each of their major deities. Its self cleaning, had good range, good pattern of shots, and you can get them for anywhere between 25 - 60 bucks depending on if its used or not.
Thanks for reading.
