Name: Josiah Criswell

Age: 17

Years Playing: 6-7

Link to your Brigade page: Check my Sig

Contact info of your choice: I'll PM you

Why you feel you're ready to be Elite and what Elite Dagger means to you: I'm ready to step it up, be a better player for me and for my team. I have limited experience as a Dagger; I feel this sudden jump may be a little premature... But! I'll give it a go and definetly make the best of this opportunity.

What do you hope to gain for the clinic: If at all possible I'd like to know how to better serve my team (LOL! you should have a clinic for that)

Why are you a Dagger: This position appeals to me like it always has and will. I like every aspect of being a Dagger... The rush, The level of intensitty, Being right up against the opposition, Just the overall experience... It's like no other.

What is your greatest strength as a Dagger AND your greatest weakness: Greatest strength would have to be... Hmm... I'd say my level of caution. The way I read the field and while a lot of the time it's just pure instinct; Most of my instinct is correct. Greatest weakness without doubt would have to be coordination with a team or even just a couple of guys.

Hope that helps and sorry this is so last second.

I wish they lasted a little bit longer.

Also would have liked to run some more drills and maybe even have a few scenarios set up. Like we could talk about what you would do if this, this and this happened. Then maybe run that scenario?

EDIT: I will add more later as I think of them.

Thanks Frenchy,

My goal here is to get as much feedback as possible for the next EW, or maybe even a stand alone clinic if there is enough interest in one.

I've already talked to JOracle about extending the clinic portion of EW. I had a lot of stuff I would have liked to do or go over.

Drills, situational scenarios, discussion.

I'm also open to any new ideas or criticisms.

Thanks guys!

Me personally I would have liked to see more visual things like you and toast said. More drills, scenarios, etc. One thing I would recommend is a dry erase board that way you can draw out the drills or scenarios. I will be there next year aswell.

8-Ball, we talked about this a bit in person, but definitely having a minimum of 4 hours for the clinics would be extremely useful. Some of the things you, Krazy8 and I had discussed were simple "gun-fighting" skills such as shooting platforms, how to make yourself small (Krazy8 has that one mastered!) and maybe a little more emphasis on the fact that pigeon-holing yourself as "just a Dagger" with no skills in the other areas can be a severe weakness.

I know this would severely cut into some of the other things at Elite Weekend (maybe a good idea for a standalone clinic?) would be allowing each player the chance to take a 4-hour clinic for one position as well as a 1-2 hour clinic for another position. For example, it is my opinion (and this can be discussed elsewhere) that Daggers and true paintball Snipers should be somewhat interchangable. Daggers tend to be at the front and I've seen way too many who don't take the opportunity to disappear and wait out a bad situation, only to swing it in their favor by attacking from behind.
