I don't like wearing camo AT ALL, but IF I HAD TO, it would be Digi.

My favorite camo is woodland, but when playing paintball I prefer to wear marpat or digital desert, depending on where it is I'm playing. Here in KS the digital desert camo blends really well in the tall grass that grows in pastures.

It's obviously possible, Tippmann sells guns in graphic woods camo. It needs to be done with a hydro graphic system, not something the average joe has lying around. An pretty common alternative (I'll admit to having done this) is using foilage from your play area and using that as masking. You get the shapes and textures literally handed to you, all you have to do is arange for breakup and motion, and select colors.

In my opinon though, the graphic camo types are very effective. As long as you're holding perfectly still and always play in the same environment, that is.

I prefer MARPAT woodland for versatility, and I'll go with Tigerstripe if I'm planning on playing a more fast moving style. Most of my paintjobs have taken elements of both.

Real tree is used by hunters because deer have eyes that are a lot more sensitive to detail than ours. If you look at a guy in the forest within the average range of a paintball gun it will be easier to see him in realtree than in a digi camo (unless he is lying flat on his belly. Then you won't see him either way) Digi is used more widely in situations where you have to hide from humans because it more closely matches the contrast and pattern that human eyes find difficult to see in a forest environment.

As far as preference. . . I just wear something that is the same color as the forest in which I am playing that day.

Dude, you didn't even put multicam up there as an option. From personal experience I can say that no other pattern can beat that stuff! Especially ACU, lol. The only camo that works better then multicam is ghillie, and that's not technically considered a "pattern." As far as painting your gun realtree, yes it is possible, but if you're looking to hide from humans (because I'm pretty sure you're not going to come across a dear with a paintball marker on the field) then paint your gun multicam or get a ghillie rag.

A friend of mine got some high-quality duct tape that was real-tree, and she carefully put it on the outside of a M98, and it has lasted 6 years. Looks great and has held up well....Just an option.

My A-5 has a RealTree finish on it's body. I have a pair of Carhartts in RealTree as well and they are probably one of the more comfortable pants to play in.. until summer. x.x

CADPAT FTW.

I'm not a big fan of the real tree camo myself unless I'm on the dear hunt. Each of their camo's are too environment specific where as most digi's can blend into a variety of environments. JMHO

^ +1. I'm a big fan of the MARPAT. Real Tree can work well for certain situations, but I'd stick with some Digi.

It should be possible. You just need to take a little time and effort, accompanied by some trial-and-error, and you'll eventually get it.

Should have added snake-skin camo also, pretty popular....or did I miss it on the list?
