Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? He's a mile away and you've got his shoes.

very carefully....

An on/off ASA is probably the best way, though even that won't work perfectly.
"A bad day of paintball is one where I never get hit. If I don't look like I got date-raped by an octopus by the end of the day, thats a bad thing."

So you want to know why it's called an A5?

If I could assemble a new regulator for a paintball gun, I could build a liver. How hard could it be?

I'll bet you $10 the above post is telling you to buy an automag.

not much danger unscrewing a tank, and the on/off asa wont do much at all

If it was that bad it might have been a broken or worn out O ring.

Unscrew it until right before the point where it starts leaking. Turn the gun upside down and fire several shots until it stops. Then finish unscrewing it. What happens is back pressure holds the valve pin in, even when it's past the nub. Firing it removes the back pressure and allows the tank to reseal itself.

That'll work too, but he may not want to go out and buy a remote just to save a little bit of leaked co2

If you dry fire while you are unscrewing it, it won't leak and it will be easier to take out
