All-

I am buying by first tactical vest.......I play Sabre.

I have been using the pack that came with my original kit....3 horizontal pod per side and a bottle pouch.....so a 6+1. For me it's hard to get my pods out....and then put them back in as well.....

I have to say....I hate it! It makes my profile wide....and I am already stocky enough!

So......to my question!

I play Sabre......So I want to carry a fair amount of paint.

I was thinking 4 pods, vertically upfront.....two also vertical in the back.....for back up....with my HPA tank in the back as well.

Does anyone else like their pods up front?

Also, should I have my tank pouch installed vertically or horizontally?

Hey man, I saw this earlier in GPD. You CANNOT post more than one topic for the same exact thing.

This may not add much to your decision, but I don't use pods. I've never needed one - a 200 round hopper lasts me almost half a day even when I'm playing with a semi. You may want to try playing hopper ball sometime - it can be fun and it certainly feels free to not need to wear any harness at all.

I usually wear a vest, so I have pods on my back but I have also been known to carry them in belt pouches as well, depending on how much paint I am carrying

I usually play hopper ball, but when I do use pods, I have a pair of BDU pants that I sewed a 3 pod pack below the belt line in the back.

Try hopperball, it is a blast not having to reload.

I wear a broadsword vest, because with the tank mid-back its weight is not noticable. Then I only wear two or three pods and carry a bottle of drinking water and a bottle of tap water ( to clean my goggles in a fix )

I go with a 4 pod + vertical tank pack for my waist, and a 2 pod thigh pack to hold a water bottle and spare CO2 tank. All together, I can carry 1000 rounds, air for all, and water with $35 of gear.
Does throwing a barrel at someone count as a barrel tag? I say it does. Unconventional tactics FTW.

On the back. Yes sometimes it is inconvienient, especially when im in a firefight, but id deal with it rather then having to deal with crawling around with huge tumors on my chest.

If you are having problems accessing pods on your back, try carrying them on your thighs. You can hold 4 pods that way. Then maybe get one of the SO Molle belts to carry a tank, with whatever else you may want to carry. That may be a comfortable set up for you. I wear a broadsword vest, but am looking into a dagger vest, or on my thighs with the same set up I just stated.
