So, I've been wondering this for a while...
Our church has a PB team, and I was hoping to connect with a few other Christian ballers, if y'all are out there.

Of course, I'd love to connect with other ballers in general.

Basically, my question is...
How can paintball be viewed as an act of worship?

I don't see it being an act of worship, but there are MANY Christian ballers on this board. Just look at people's signatures. Most of them have a a loose organization, and a notation in their sigs. And before you ask, no I'm not a christian.
This is my sig. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My sig is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My sig, without me, is useless. Without my sig, I am useless. I must type my sig true. I must spell better than my enemy who is trying to judge me. I must type before he ridicules me. I WILL... My sig and I know that what counts in this forum is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the splatter we make. We know that it is the hits that count. WE WILL HIT... Before the Admins, I swear this creed. My sig and myself are the defenders of my forum. We are the masters of our enemy. WE ARE THE SAVIORS OF MY PROFILE. - Tippmann Owner #pi

10a. All topics NOT Paintball related should be discussed in the "Lounge". Religious/Spiritual discussions are not allowed anywhere on the forum, due to the inflammatory nature of the topic.

Its nothing personal or anti-religious...its just that its been tried & it never turns out well ... most people can deal with a topic like this, but it attracts spam like you wouldnt believe & someone ends up getting their feelings hurt & goes home crying, so the Mods have lost their collective patience when it comes to anything that even smells like a religiously oriented topic.

But look around at other peoples posts - lots of Christian 'ballers have some sort of link in their signatures, so it wont take long for you to find others who share your interests.
Good Luck!

Hmmm...how to word this without including religion...Well, I don't know, but I'll try to answer you before this gets closed or attacked. I think most people would think that worship is a broad concept. Anything that glorifies God counts as worship, right? So I think you could count it as worship by saying that you're representing God on the paintball field. :ghillie: If Jesus played paintball, how would he play? That means just play how everyone should. Don't cheat, be a good sport about things, and try to help paintball get a good rep. I'm not really sure why you need "playing paintball" to be considered a form of worship, though. I think a lot of churches do it just because paintball is fun. It certainly wouldn't hurt to have more people running around the field who play in a "Godly" way or however else you want to look at it.

I am a Christian and i play paintball, but im not sure if i would call it an act of worship. i play a couple times a month with a big group of Christian kids. we just go and play, if there is someone there that isnt a Christian we still play with them, we really dont care, we just like to play.
If you are a christian paintballer add this to your sig

Yup, Band of Brothers started as a group of guys from our church, and we still consider ourselves a Christian team.

There are plenty around. CPPA is the easiest way to find others..

As for how it's an act of worship, it's a way to enter a generally secular community and glorify God with your actions. By acting in a way that honors him, and acknowledging he's the reason you do, it's easy to talk to people about Him.

^yeah that^ but boys, as much as i'd love to talk w/ y'all bout it, this really isn't the proper forum for it, unless we can get a religious/political subforum. maybe we should petition for it, i know i'd love to have it.

Petition or not, it's not going to happen.

We could all go and start discussing this on CPPA's forum though.
