Simple question...What do you do to make yourself happy? What makes you smile and cheers you up no matter how dark the day was, no matter how much work sucked. What do you do, have done to/for you, etc that makes everything cherry and worth it? Simple question, complicated answer for people...

For me no matter how bad my day is, or how dark things are in my life, making someone i care about smile or laugh is all it takes for me and all is well again. Seriously. No matter how much work sucked, or that butthole on the highway pissed me off, seeing someone i care about smile due to something i did makes it all right. XD Doesn't matter if they are smiling/laughing at a gift i gave them, a compliment i said, or at me falling on my ass and making a fool of myself (happens all the time). Either way it gets the same outcome, so either way i am happy. As long as those i care about are happy and smiling, i see no problems in my life and am the happiest guy you will ever meet. Take away their smiles and i will work as hard as i have to to put them back on their faces. Don't care about the cost to me (time or money), they don't matter, just making those i care about happy does.

You could tell me i am going to die in 7 hours...let me outside the room and see someone i care about smile or laugh at something i do and all is well again, who cares that i'm dying, you are happy. That's all i care about, that's all that truly matters to me. XD

This week has been rough for me in a few spots but overall i have made a bunch of people happy, so despite all the bad, i am incredibly happy and cheesed and a smile hasn't left my face in days. XD

The other thing that makes me happy despite all sadness is my kittehs or any kitteh for that matter. I LUB kittehs. Like just seeing them makes me happy and calm. I can come home from work bitter and pissed off at some jerk off tech who annoyed me, see my kittehs and all is well again. Who cares about anything else when i has fluffballs of my own to lub. XD I have had some rough days at work, and who hasn't, but i come home, sit on the floor and let my kittehs come ot me and then within seconds, all is well.

So what makes you happy? What do you do for yourself, to yourself, for others, whatever...to make you happy, to make you smile? When the world is dark for you, how do you make it all better???

To be honest, when I talk to my ex girlfriend, I am always in a better mood once were done talking. I don't know what it is, or how she does it, but talking to her always makes me feel better.

I have my happy place. I'm always going off to the mountains and fishing, even when I'm stuck at work in real life, I've always got my mind to fill with some sort of BS. And, that does the trick. I'll "Play" a paintball game in my mind, or create my favorite, perfect, fishing hole, or any other such thing. Barring that, getting a smile from some cutie or going over to "save" her from some perv bum also makes my day better. I had one girl, while I was at work, that was being bothered by some funky old dude who was trying, apparently, to go home with her. I walked up and claimed to be her boyfriend and told him to beat it. It worked, and she thanked me, and I went about my business. The rest of the day beforehand had been fairly busy with general BS and I had been in a fairly bad mood until I got the opportunity to help this girl out. It made me smile to see her smile and then laugh about it.

It's all small things. My boy for example, little dude's always doing something that cracks me up. So, I'll think through those too.

Lately haven't been able to find anyting or anyplace that makes me happy. Once I start work again I'm sure things are going to get better. And now that I have a 4x4 I can go out and explore that will help. Plus with paycheck means money to do things like paintball

Yeah, the job thing is a bear. We've got transients (homeless) in places that never had homeless people before. Small towns that are usually, well, typical small towns, are now finding people trying to pitch tents in city parks, sleeping under bridges, parking trailers in walmart, all kinda crap. I hope this pulls through soon. Supposedly recession is on the rebound and "Getting better", but..... Go ahead and tell that to the folks in foreclosure, jobless, homeless... Etc.

I actually, even tho I mostly hate my job, feel lucky to have it. It's paying my bills, bought me a house, and, I have no room to complain really. If I had a little more to do so, I'd try helping some of these folks out. It's sad seeing homeless people who shouldn't be homeless. You know the type I mean.... Those who're there because of some choise they made. Not because they got a pink slip and couldn't find a job scooping dog crap because there were 300 other applicants (Example taken from a Seattle news story).

Anyhow, I've been there too. I was homeless for a while myself. But, IDK. It's just tough all around. I sure hope things turn around, ya know.

I'm a grumpy guy at heart. I deal with the public consistantly and I am not the best people-person out there. I guess opposite to you Leg. However, the one thing that warms my heart is when my kid laughs. Not a simple laugh but one of those laughs where you still chuckle for a time after. His giggle tells me that he's happy, safe, contant and still so innocent. I won't hear that giggle forever so I hold it close when I have the chance to hear it.

A nice long peaceful drive does it for me, if I get angry I jump in my car and just drive. It's how I just get away from it all

Focusing entirely on that sight picture, and everything else falls away. It's really almost meditative.

A bike ride, or climbing a mountain/caving...pretty much anything outdoors.

Either talking to one of two people, or playing alot of guitar or piano. Usually these don't really brighten up my day completely, but it offers me temporary solace and that works for me from time to time.

Glock?

Shooting would help. I need to find a range up here. I haven't been shooting in months

Ya know. That might work in Utah but if you live in Jersey and somebody took you for a nice long peaceful drive in the country .... would be pretty stressed out.
