Okay, while a Brigade newbie I have played paintball for a bit, in a role that primarily SpecOps defines as Sabre/ Medium Rifleman. I'm just wondering what footwear you all wear, since to me it seems position specific I put it here.

I wear my old Marine rough-side out hot-weather boots, they have ankle support, and provide for running when necessary, not too heavy. So what all do you wear?

PS And just so you know the kit post prompted me to write this one, he forgot footwwear, so instead of trying to have everyone go back and edit your posts I figured I'd start a new one.

I wear a pair of Addias Blitz mid cleats. I love them, they just hook into the ground and go. Wet logs can be tricky but I step over them given the chance.
Team Krisis
You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last night, or that you got a ticket on the way there...your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth... live it... love it..

How the hell could you stop me? Why in the world would you try? I go hard forever that's just how I'm designed, that's just how I was built.

I wear combat boots as well.........I really need the ankle support and tread to traverse the rough MT terrain I am now playing in.

I really really *really* want to wear my $125 Bates boots on the field, they are all the best qualities of tennis shoes, football cletes, and combat boots rolled into one, but damn, I ain't gonna ruin $125 worth of boot! So its an $90 pair I got for $50, speed lace standard issue combat boots that work for me!

I wear these Danner fire fighting boots, theyre hella expensive (200+)but they work really good. But lately Ive been using come Columbia hiking boots. Those were comfrotable but not much ankle support. And when you buy boots for paintballing, buy the tall ones. Much more ankle support.

I wear cammo boots called turkey trekkers. I got them from Bass Pro Shops/Great Outdoors. They're water proof, non insulated (I'm in Texas where it stays warm -hot) and have a great knobby sole. I can climp up steep dirt slopes with little effort. I like the ankle support and the real tree cammo. They only cost $40.00. Bass Pro Shops/ Great Outdoors has alot of really nice boots and cammo.

An old pair of adidas soccer cleats. Helps dig in for fast breaks. No ankle support but I don't worry about ankle support. I love my issued combat and jungle boots from the marines but we can't wear them off duty.

Wait until you're out like I am. Then you can wear the boots where ever you want, although I limit it to paintball. I used to hate those rules but respected them just like you are.

honestly, i have a pair of solid black high top converse all stars. not the greatest for traction, but if you're quiet and sneaky like me, the extra stealth an flexibility can't be beat. its almost as good as being barefoot.

Agreed. For less that $50 at a local army Surplus store, those boots are insanely light, rugged, and sturdy. I love mine...though I'm considering getting the Amazons to match my ACU's.
