This is a clip from the TV show "Gear" (Discovery Channel, I think - please correct me if you know otherwise), about different hi-tech toys & gizmos.
This one is on paintball gear & was filmed at American Canyon Paintball Jungle, near Vallejo CA, and features a whole bunch of my friends & regular field players.
Professionally filmed & edited, its geared towards the general public who dont know about all the cool toys that we get to play with on a regular basis.
Always nice to see some positive paintball on TV...and just as nice to see my buddies (Carpet Bob the owner & his sons Eli & Zoe) get some well deserved screen-time...
Enjoy!

I wish...Eli called me up to try to get me out there for that day, but I was out of the state that week.
There have been a few times when I got to be involved in something like this (this isnt the first time that the Jungle has been on TV) but just not this time...

Technically yes.
Hornets are more of a club than a true team (although many years ago it was different). Pretty much consists of any field regulars who apply, so there are almost 4000 Hornets now...with about a hundred or so "active" at any given time & at least 20-30 at the field on any given day.

Not so much these days...Bubba the head ref has done some serious house-cleaning lately. Im not seeing some of the more notable trouble makers around these days, and Bubba fired about half of the old refs earlier this year, so things are actually looking pretty good at the Jungle these days...

Never heard of the hornets lol.

Paintball jungle was on tactical to practical a few years ago correct?

Pretty sweet article...its still in the woods but there arent to many crazy guys in full camo...more appealing to masses imo.

Peace,
Teddy K

PBJ was in Tactical to Practical and yes, you have heard of the Hornets if you know about that episode.

And that field draws in a Very Large Crowd on the Weekends, especially during the Summer Months and actually, PBJ is the Biggest Woodsball Field in Northern California....its just too bad that Bob (the owner) doesnt want to hold any Scenario Games, which I can understand, cus across the road from the entrance of the field is a Residential Neighborhood.

Its about time someone stepped up to the Plate and Cleaned House...but how is it with the BeesWax Game though, are the Hornets still as conniving as before?

That's awesome. When they showed the 3D map of the field it looked awesome, but what they actually showed during the clip was kind of bland. Still awesome to see something local on TV though. I've never seen/heard of that show before though.

Not with the old "bad boys" out of the picture. The game this weekend was one of the cleanest Beezwax r Ive ever seen.
Have you met Bubba? He's like 6'2/250...not someone who is going to get alot of arguments on the field...
They also started punching wristbands for violations this year. 2 punches & you're gone for the day. Seems like its actually being enforced, too.
