Okay thanks Puzuma, I'll tell my friend. He was afraid his dad might of been around the area and he wasn't sure what was going on because the news hasn't said anything.

Yeah, the reason is that England is smart, and have outlawed handguns. There are heavier armed response teams however that are uch like our SWAT teams.

What now?

They have less gun related crimes might be something to do with it?

It was a firearm related incident so they sent an armed response squad. Every town in the UK has at least one, last year some kid in my school got arrested from school at gunpoint because he was firing a BB gun into a shopping centre.

Anyway, glad that the only person to get hurt was the retard shooting at a bloody kids bedroom. I don't like killing at all but this guy did deserve what he got, 100%.

Well, the idea is to prevent gun violence alltogether. Have strict firearm regulation and have cops only cary pepper spray and nightsticks.

Unfortunately, what happens is criminals don't really care about gun laws and they get their firearms illegally, meanwhile the good citizens and the average street cop of the UK are left defenseless, at least for 10 or so minutes...then the Emergency Response Teams arrive.

Many of the average street cops in th UK have some small-arms and or SWAT training. In the event you get an Emergency Response Team after you, you'll be facing HK G-36s and MP-5s and officers who know how to use them.

In a related note, Lemming or anyone else who knows, do your policemen in the UK (street cops) carry tazers/stun guns or anything of the sort? What about other "less-than-leathal" weapons like bean-bag guns?

Some do.
A lot of cops carry guns now. Especially at busy places and in airports.
I see em quite a lot at the moment. Especially in Manchester and Liverpool, and at football matches.

The whole idea was to keep "gun violence" to a minimum. Which doesn't make too much sense to me, because it results in a dead cop. Any violence is violence, spoon or gun.
