Monster balls arn't that bad if you buy them fresh(except for the staining bit), the problem is 99% of the time they've been stored in a warehouse for a year or more in vacume sealed bags without getting rotated.

my friend and i used a case of monsterballs a while back, one of the bags was horrible, they were actually so weak that my 18v fasta blended them.

we threw out that bag.

then the next bag appeared normal, but my friend (we were sharing paint) had hit me in my vl200 (i switched to gravity after that "monster soup" incident) and it shattered the whole thing, which has took many, many other hits, and has took my full weight when i fell on it once (i was in pain after that) and i weigh 180 pounds. like most monsterballs, vl200's are cheap, but not weak.

we threw out the whole case, and the owner gave us a discount so we could keep playing.

yes there should be a topic on this in safety.

EDIT: oh keep in mind these crap balls where only a little over a week old.

(Quote-weltmaker2000) I don't call my guns pumps. I refer to them as euthanizers of the stupid.

ok ive got to agree with you guys that monsterballs need to go, our walmart actually doesnt even sell them they have some of the higher low end paints that are actually half decent and isnt like getting hit with a rock thrown by the terminator.

Unfortinitly everybody knows about monster ball but not Demonballs or JT used to some some that were yellow.
Demonballs are just the same thing under a different label and color.
I'm back, and this time for good.

One of my local fields has gone one step further, for their sake, not really the players. The field is bushwackers. Basically, if you BYOP they check it to see if it is oil based or water/glycol based. Believe me, I didn't think there were oil based paint any more, but I was proved wrong with a cup of water and a screwdriver. My friend who shoots an A5 ( i shoot a Phantom, so I usually just get a bag of field paint) brought in some nelson rec grade and the guy took a screw driver and punctured the PB into a cup of water. Much to my amazement, the paint beaded up like oil on water. THen he broke some of his field paint (which, actually had the word 'hydro' in the name) and it sunk in and diffused like food coloring. It was kinda funny because he had pre loaded his hopper and pods for some reason, but I felt sorry for him at the same time because he had two cases of the stuff he couldnt use. Apparently the reason was cleaning of the bunkers and paint disposal or somehting, not really a good enough reason to TINKLE off BYOP players and stuff, plus the paint was pretty big (it was very tight in my stock phantom barrel, i couldn't even blow it thru).

Yes, this field had had monster balls banned for quite some time, and b/c of that, I can say I've never been hit with one.
