Welcome Eli North Ingersoll

I went into labor on the 2nd and was being rushed to Salt Lake ( which is about 40 mins away from where I live ) my poor mother in a frantic rush was only driving 72 on the freeway and we were pulled over! This cop was a real piece of work, let me tell you! My contractions were about 3 to 4 mins apart and he's trying to talk to me and I decided yelling was a much better way of expressing my feelings! He called an ambulance because he deemed my mother unable to drive! So about 35 mins later an ambulance shows up! I'm being rushed to the hospital as the EMT is trying to play lets find my good vein on a bumpy freeway! He bruised me pretty bad by the way!
I finally get to the hospital and I'm not doing so well, they rushed me into my delivery room and hook me up with an epidural, it took about 45 mins for them to find the right spot in my back which was causing horrific pain, as you can imagine a giant needle in the back doesn't feel good! Only about 10% of woman are a hard poke and I fell into the percentile, lucky me right!?
So now the pain meds are working and I feel like I can cruise right through everything! Well I was certainly wrong! I was rushed into the OR once because they thought I was going to have a C Section because of my blood pressure dropping to dangerous area and the baby's oxygen was getting cut off with my contractions. They deemed everything ok, so they took me back, my poor family is having panic attacks by this point and my boyfriend who doesn't do well with the stress is pulling his hair out! Well about 30 mins later, my epidural wears off! Oh god, that was great, I was in so much pain I didn't know what was going on, apparently I was being rushed back in to the OR for an emergency C Section and I had no pain meds yet! The Anesthesiologist came and did his thing and I was freaking out because I thought they were trying to cut me open before it kicked in ( and they were planning on it ) they finally started and my loving boyfriend finally made it into the OR to see our new born Eli!
My epidural eventually gave me a spinal head ache and I've been flat on my back for the last 8 days to relieve the pain! But here's who's worth it all!

My Mom had that exact same look on the photos taken after delivery.
