check to see if the wires are loose/unplugged or cut. those are the most common problems with the stock Ion eyes. Also there should be a metal foil looking thing inside the plastic body. If that isn't intact your eyes won't always work.

Some problems:

-Dead battery
-Eye wires are loose, bent or damaged
-Not holding the button down long enough? (you have to press and hold for about 1 or 2 seconds for it to switch modes)
-Broken eye board
-Foil sticker is not intact
-Dark paint, although I never had this problem with Ion eyes
-Hopper not on/balls not feeding properly
-Eyes are covered with paint, making it think there is a ball in there

-Nothing else comes to mind, all are easy fixes.

On a side note:
If you have a light colored body, make sure the foil covering is there, for the darker ones, it is not needed.

Take off the screws holding your grip frame in, then remove the banjo fittings, and there are the eye wires. They look like a phone jack sort of.

You know, if he doesnt know were the eyes are, I highly doubt he will know what a banjo fitting is. Krueger, do you know how to take the Ion apart? If you feel uncomfortable about it, take it to a shop, dont run the risk of ruining it.

So If the eyes are functioning correctly, it should be rapidly blinking?
And if they aren't, it should be slowly blinking?

If the eyes are working, it will blink rapidly when something is in the breech, and slowly when nothing is.

I take roughly 100 shots per kill, and I like it.
