A buddy of mine does and I was thinking of buying the Custom Chronograph X Radar Deluxe Handheld Chronograph for $70 from Actionvillage. Does anyone know of a reasonable priced one they'd recomend?

Ive tried a few and that one^^ is by far the best hand held I have seen. A few of the guys I play with also have them. Any one who plays renegade ball on a regular basis should invest in one for safety's sake.

I also own 2, one is a Radarchron handheld. The other is a Brass Eagle Barrel mounted chrono. So far the BE is reading pretty accurately for its $45 price tag.

I do own a little hand held Chrono for when I'm out on the field. I see or hear a marker and it doesn't sound right. I check it.

I have the yellow hand held chrono. If buying now I would go for the radar chron for the added option of FPS.

I like to have my own chrono for:
Safety first - I aim to be a responsible paintballer
Checks after strip & clean or any mods
Home practice checks
Saving time at the official site chrono because I don't have to adjust at the chrono station

Also when turning up at a site that does not normally have own gunners:
Sometimes the chrono is still in the back of the van because they just chrono their markers in bulk,
or catching the boss man for a quick chrono because I have my own in my pocket keeps him happier dealing with us as
we don't waste too much of his time first thing in the morning when he is trying to sort out the days punters
and finally an experienced marshal is often happy because he knows the sound of a hot marker and you have his
confidence of being seen to have your own

I own a radarchron handheld. Keeps everyone within safe limits and ends the "his gun is too hot" discussion between friends.

"If the person on the other end of your gun does not walk away eagerly anticipating the next game because of your actions, you have FAILED as a paintballer."
