It's a good thing I already had ammunition, because yesterday was crazy.

Went to the gun range for a bachelor party. No .380, no 9mm, no .40, no .45, no 5.7x28....

Only thing I ended up using that didn't belong to me was an M1A socom II they had on hand.

LOL there wasn't really ever 5.7...that's such a boutique round anyway.

And yeah, I had lucky timing myself too...built my AR in late november, bought a bunch of ammunition on election day.

There ARE signs of all this panic slowing down for now.

(unless the RUMORS of this boston thing being a gunpowder bomb prove true, then crap is REALLY gonna hit the fan with gun control)

Well around here you could always find 5.7 because nobody wanted to buy it (too expensive and unique). Now it's just gone.

I'm seeing a few signs, but none in the ammo department. The guns and mags are becoming more available, but no way can you find ammunition. That's not slowing down at all around here.

I can buy most anything I want... i just can't shoot it unless I already have the ammunition from before.

Assault Weapons Ban - Voted down.
Magazine Capacity bill - Voted down.
Expanded Background checks - Voted down.

Now can we get back to old prices so I can afford a new AR? Haha

My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

Or back to pre 86 laws so we don't have to save for 5 years to afford a 674 dollar (what the military pays for one) m4 carbine...

This.

I'd like pre-NFA laws, but I know I'll never get it.

I want affordable suppressors and automatics. Not things that take a year to get, after you pay through the nose and get a full out rectal exam for them.

Suppressors are a safety item...Isn't this whole thing about gun safety?

Me wanting to buy/build an AR was timed perfectly with a complete increase in cost. :(

I finished my AR build the Monday before thanksgiving 2012. My build doubled in value 2 weeks later.

If it pans out to be a solid performer, that new Citadel M1 carbine clone in 9mm may be an excellent wife gun....

I'd buy one tomorrow if it came in .40s&w for some cross platform caliber matching.

Or even multi cal 10mm/40sw

Wouldn't surprise me if they eventually expand it to .40.

I am surprised how few people are making a 10mm carbine, when it would do so well.
