it is not necessary, but if you think it hurts a lot when you get hit then you could get one, to stop the pain.

Not needed at all by most people. If you feel more comfortable wearing one, by all means do so - but 90% of players dont bother. Definitely more common on girls than guys.

It isn't really necessary, you aren't going to get injured from getting shot in the chest. Although I do recommend getting a neck protector, getting shot in the neck doesn't feel very good... :(

not really, they reduce the amount of pain and prevent welts from developing, so you might want one. I personally never have used one, and all my friends who have used them said they were bulky and would have been much happier just wearing a hoodie or a couple of layers.

They are too rigid and inflexible for my taste. I usually play with a vest and wouldn't want the restriction. I've only known one player to wear. Loose fiiting clothing will do the same thing without the restriction.

No.
Team Krisis
You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last night, or that you got a ticket on the way there...your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth... live it... love it..

How the hell could you stop me? Why in the world would you try? I go hard forever that's just how I'm designed, that's just how I was built.

Good idea on the neck protector i use one and its a little uncomfortable when you first put it on but you hardly feel it in a game. but you will be glad to have when you get hit there trust me i know. the chest armor is not nessecary just an extra shirt should be enough protection, it doesnt hurt that bad

If you are questioning needing one, then yes, get one. If you have never been shot before, do this. Wear a mask at all times!! Dress in a t shirt, long sleeve shirt, sweater, and then a coat. go out side and have someone shoot you from 60 feet. Strip all clothing off down to the t shirt, one layer at a time. Then repeat at 50 feet. then again at 40, and so on. You will quickly determine your pain threshold.

I did this with my 13 year old, and guess what? She wears no chest protection...

i wear one because once someone unloaded on me when i was out, but as an added bonus some are made with some kind of heavy fabric that makes paintballs bounce so u can stay in longer. Im not promoting cheating but using what you have to your advantage is helpful. This is the one i have

I don't think so, when wearing a vest and TRU(Tactical Response Uniform) I can't feel any shots to my chest. Plus TRU's have built in neck protector with the Mandarin collar.

Don't bother. I've played shirtless before and I've had worse pains than that.
