... I'm pretty sure there are already organizations taking care of that which are much bigger than PETA. And the job isn't done yet because you can't remake a huge civilization healthy over night.

Bigger? Do you really believe that size has anything to do with it? Size has NOTHING to do with it. it's all about support and finding people that actually give a damn. But perhaps that's lost on you. A small group can still do big things. It's about providing the care that they need so they can pick themselves up and eventually start their own lives. And not live in constant slavery.

A million starving peasants can't tackle a hundred man empire with machine guns.

EDIT: Misread some stuff from the above post...

When I said Bigger I meant that their is more people supporting that organization. What do you suppose we were to do to help these Peasants ? Giving them doctors won't help against 100 men with guns. Neither will supplying fresh food or fresh water.

Lamabait, you're the one missing the point now. The point is that there are bigger fish to fry (ba dum TSHH) than animal rights. There is sooooo much wrong with this world that really matters. PETA has decided to overlook everything else and adopted a fanatically narrow scope of "changing the world." We all try to make a change in some way, but PETA is willing to sacrifice anything and everything, from human rights to common decency, to "help animals." Regardless of whether or not they succeed in doing this, the methods they choose are beyond unethical. Some of them have been listed in this thread, others you'll have to google. It's not the message that we hate, it's the method.

I wouldn't have any problem -- don't have any problem -- with somebody who tries to help animal kind by adopting a stray dog and treating it kindly, feeding it and loving it. Where I start to have problems is when somebody tries to help animal kind by doing stuff like this.

The message would be much better off if PETA crawled into a deep black hole and never returned.

@ 3rd World Countries point -- have you seen what happens to dogs in Guatamala? If you wanted to stop cruelty to animals, America is hardly the place to start.

dont they shoot the animals to kill them or do they just behead them

Captive bolt pistol. It pretty much sends a 4 inch long probe into the brain with great force, scrambling the brain.
However, as the brain stem isn't severed, the heart continues to pump blood, which greatly aids in insanguinating the animals.

However, for chickens and turkey alike, they are simply beheaded, due to the smaller volume of blood.
You have failed as a paintballer.

PETA, one of the many psycho retard groups that need to just find there way off the face of planet, wherever the hell it may be, and stay there.

Them along with the following groups:
KKK
That one group that protests military funerals
Miley Cirus and her band
FEMA
FFC
Al Gore and his clones
RPA (the Ramen Protest Association)
IRS
And many, many more

FEMA and IRS should not be in there man.

I don't think you guys understand the point of view PETA has. We were all terrified and disgusted on how this man literally slaughtered a human being. Everyone thinks it is absolutely crazy and crude what this man did, but we do the exact same thing to 1000's of animals. We literally gut, behead, and eat animals and all is good and we think " who cares about those cows anyways? " But as soon as this happens to a person on a bus, and everyone instantly thinks the person is crazy, even though we have no problem doing this to animals. Their isn't much difference besides the fact that we are humans and they are animals. PETA comparing slaughtering animals to slaughtering humans is a little extreme, but certainly not stupid.

And no I'm not a PETA and I have no problem with eating meat or whatever. I just feel you guys think PETA is a joke and are worthless on this planet when you don't think about the angle they are coming from.

the difference is humans are superior! i'll pick up your point of view when you can show me a cow teaching someone to speak its language...then i'll see it the way you do.

Everything I was saying were based on what I thought PETA was trying to tell us about the Newspaper Ad. I think PETA isn't really a great group either. I havn't even heard of PETA before this thread, so I had no idea they do all of these things. Disregard all of my posts, I was typing blindly.
