one time during a 10 on 10 game i was going throught my friends woods
and heard people to my left. so i got prone next to a tree facing to my left.
suddenly another group of 3 showed up to my right and one guy used me
as a mound for cover. one of his teamates was in front where i could see
him another was a few trees past my feet. after they got past me by 10
or 15 feet i got 2 of them then was hit in the arm by the one that was behind me.
i told that guy what he did and he pooped himself.

now he always tries to be on my team every game since then and none of the
guys i play outlaw with will ever question my hiding skills muah haha

I don't know if this counts or not since I am a dagger, but during an SPPL qualifier, I came up my opponents flank and had just cleared out 3 guys (including commander YEA!). I was moving to pull their flag when all of a sudden I heard a POW right next to me. I was about 1 foot away from the guy. He was in a rag ghille in a bush. No wonder why i didn't see him.

The funny part was, I was so close to him that when he shot he fired right between my legs, or it bounced, I don't know which. I jumped to go over him since he was on the ground and striped him on the down the back. It was awesome, but gave me a heart attack at the same time.

oh, should have mentioned. We don't encourage barrel tagging, since the gun may actually go off as you bump something. Hand tagging should be used instead.

thats a good rule and a bad one at the same time. im an avid person of "shoot first, ask questions later", although there are limits. if i creep up on a person at point blank range, ill usually warn them that there is impending doom if they dont give up. when they see me all ghillie'd up, they usually give.......for those that dont.....well......haha....good times. 8 )

Sometimes the best strategies are made while being shot at.

the only people that will tell the truth are drunks and children

with all the arguing about paintball snipers, it makes me wonder why i even bother to shoot them.

Is a sniper in hand worth two in the bush? For those who know this proverb, i think its arguable. lol.

Okay, so I was playing down at my friend Carl's house, back in his woods, lots of cover. It was two on two and we had made the mistake of not setting smaller boundries, it was a game of surprise and stealth. I head for the tape line early on while my partner went ahead to scout and keep my flank covered. One player was very easy to spot because of his bright blue hoodie. I saw him coming down the tape in my direction, but slowly. I figured that my partner had Carl covered so I began the ambush. I slowly belly crawled to a large tree on the tape line and hunkered down low to the ground so close to the tree I could smell it. I quickly throw some leaves over myself and wait. A few minutes later, I hear the guy, he stops, right on the other side of the tree I'm at! He slowly comes around and makes a break for the tree in my line of sight, hoping to get an angle on the insueing fire fight between Carl and my partner. I now have a clear view of him, I slowly raise my marker and pop him with a single shot to the back. "You're out friend" I yelled in delight. ;) (for the record, I wasn't even wearing ghillie...)

Good times dude...good times indeed...I think just getting that close is worth merit. It's more a random thing than skill in many cases. I suppose some paintballers just don't know how to slow down and observe their surroundings, he,he... :ghillie:

well the other team called a time out

but i didn't want to give away my position so i didn't say anything :ghillie:

then i see my friend (enemy) firing and i thought he was taking practice shots but little did i know they called time in

then my other friend (enemy) comes running down a path and i see him and he sees me and then he unloads on me because my gun is under me and i couldn't get to fire so i just ducked

i was about 5ft away

For me I'd have to say 3 yards. I pulled the gun (which was borrowed and mostly polished aluminum) aimed and shot him on the ammo pouch twice with it on his hip.

Never saw it comin :ninja: lol

You talking ambush or actually stalking someone for closest ever? The latter is much harder. Stalking about 10 ft. from a group of 4. Ambush, I could reach out and barrel tag one as they walk by.

I agree stalking is much harder, at least for me.

About 5 feet away the guy looked right at me many times, then he walks right behind me, I roll on to my back, sit up and light his happy little world on fire. Yay for me, cause this was my only 2nd time playing sniper!
