Blacklight:Bleh, my elbow is sloppy in most of those pics. I was just about to pin your topic or merge it with mine but since you posted here I dont think theres a need to. My pointman is comin over tomorrow I'll take some pics for ya.

Navy Seal: First one is right, second I'm pretty sure I'm in the middle circle somwhere, or close to it. The grey you see is my bro's shirt he took off. I took him out in the woods and we were sitting on the rim of a hole on the backside of all that cover. It was July i think so you can imagine it was hot, and he cant have his shirt on for 5min anyway. He didnt want to throw it on the ground or anything because if i recall the ground was still a lil wet from a rain we had a couple days earlier. I dunno though man, its been awhile since he took those pics. Though i do know for sure that is his shirt that he hung on a branch. I think me an Sarge talked about that in one of the first couple pages.

Not to be flaming or anything, but you forgot a few things...my dads an ex marine so i have pretty good sources for firing position.ok First of all shooting when standing up, u can put your hand as close as posible to the triger gaurd, and you turn your elbow inwardand out aso its pointing away from you body, then you just rest your marker between your hand and thumb, you dont grasp it. Then fire

You want your elbows in when your paintballing. Its more comfortable to have your hands spaced alil farther than the norm when your doing that with a 'milsim' set up. Move your arm out on your handguard and watch your elbow get smaller.

However, on the speedball type guns the foregrip is normally closer, but you grip is stright up instead of across. This will also pull your elbow down, or tuck it in if the foregrip is angled.

If your shootin 200yrds go ahead. however, when you have 20bps comin at you increasing the other persons chances of hitting you with a decent shooting posture that involves the tucked elbows, its gonna make your life a lot tougher.

well i prefer a kneeling firing position. give me support for my load of paint and airtank and i am more confortable but that is just me. i dont care if my posture is a lil slopy but our senerio team has 3 squads and we depend on each other to survive the fight.

Kneeling is fine, i never said it wasnt. :(

*shrug* Teamwork is one thing but i rather not have my teamates rely on me to have to save their butt when they can do a few simple things to help them survive. Must just be me though.

When im shooting up hill i tend to lay on my stomach using my elbows to saport my gun.. is that the proper way? and shooting down hill so I dont get snhot in the nuts or anything I like to lay on my back in the crunchy position or get up aginst a tree and do it is that a good way?

Hope I explained my ways good enough..

Personally i like to sit when i shoot uphill. If need be i can have a better view but most of the time i just get over the top just enough I can see the OpFor and fire at them effectively. This allows me to duck behind the hill and slip away with better effciency. Plus its more comfortable.

As far as using rests, go ahead, just make sure you can get away if need be.

basic military form...

not even the boy scouts teaches that any more (they were the original basic). advanced training says keep your shooting platform stable.

you can not do that if you got your wings a' flappin'.

suck in those elbows and make yourself a stable platform. you'll actually hit things.

Shooting from behind an object - one of the things I like to do is roll on my back / side near the edge of my cover - roll out, take 3 shots, and roll back in. They never expect that.

If I'm behind something small (like a tree) I'll pause after rolling back (they almost always "return fire") then roll back to the other side, and take 2-3 more shots ('cause they're usually shotting at where I just WAS, or at my cover / bunker).

In any case - I like laying down on my belly more than I do sitting up (unless I'm behind cover than allws me to poke out either side easily from a sitting position).
