Not that I expect many here to care, or even know who he was, but the man passed away today.

I don't listen to a lot of opera but is a sad thing for the world to lose such a phenomenal voice.

I don't like opera but I can still respect him.

I don't listen to opera myself, but most of the people today wouldn't even know what opera was if it wasn't for "Lucky". Vaya con Dios, big guy.

Pavarotti had one of my favorite voices.
Him, Bocceli, and Sarah Brightman are some awesome opera style voices if any of you guys care.

This is sad...one of the Greats has gone to the Big Opera House in the Sky.
The guy had one of the most powerfull voices of any tenor Ive ever heard - even without a microphone, he could still blow away any rock band you could think of with sheer volume.

Everyone at my wife's job (shes the properties master at an opera company) was wearing black armbands today, and instead of a moment of silence the whole cast & crew sang the lead aria from Il Pagliacci.

RIP...he will be missed.
