Ok i own a Bt4 and i know spec-ops doesn't really like them and all that but im trying to get the money to buy a E-grip for it and i was thinking how cool it would be to have a selector switch to go with it and one that would actually work even though this is hard im sure you guys could do it for me and all the other bt owners out there

If they were to even make one, it would be for the A5; trust me on that one.

Yes they would definatley make it for the A-5, the Spec Ops team love these guns and none of them use a BT4.

Excellent idea. True that we haven't made any mods for the BT line. I'm sure it's a great marker. If we were to make a selector switch pistol grip, we probably would make it for the A-5. Thanks for the input anyway.

I have been wondering why no one has made one yet. It would be awesome to have a switch. With safe, semi, 3shot, auto.

Why does spec ops have a problem with bt they are AWESOME markers and now tippman is trying to do them one up with the x7 which isn't probably as good. I mean tippman came out with all those good guns and then they made the UGLY ONE which i can't think of the name but i used to own a tippman but i sold it to get the bt4 which is an awesome gun because normally i would have payedaround 500 dollars for a gun this good and has a nice look and easily maintainable

The X-7 is going to be alot better than all other woodball guns; lighter, shoots faster, looks better. You can get an even better mil-sim gun than the BT's go to the "Build Your Own X-7" and you can make several different guns.

they make the e-grip without a switch so you cant easily ajust the setting on the feild...this is so people on feilds with the NO FULL AUTO rule can change your gun to semi..and make you not able to change it when they arent looking.

peace :P

Yea, it might look the same, but I bet the X7 would work better...

as a tippmann and BT lover dont start a flame war jaeger, this is not the place to do it.

NoobieKiller not to be a PEE SHOOTER, but do some research before you make statements

The X-7 weighs 4.1 lbs aparently according to what it said on tippmanns page for the X-7 specs, the BT-4 combat weighs 3 lbs(same as a 98c), the reciever is made of a magnesium alloy so it is lighter than it would be if it were made of a cast alluminum body.
BT is coming out w/ the Rip Clip, which is made by HALO and is estimated at 25bps feed rate, and BT will be coming out w/ a new egrip and APE or WAS will probably come out w/ boards for em so the BT could fire at 25bps, and according to Tippmann the X-7 limit is 20bps.
the looks of the X-7 is all up to the individual....

i'm not shooting down the X-7, i have to say that the hopper is dead sexy and the mag and air-thru ideas are very solid and ingenious. I will probably buy one in the future to check it out, but unlike my BT, it wouldn't be as comfortable for speedball (yes i kno its a milsim marker). anywho i do like it and the selector switch idea would be sweet but as drummerdude pointed out i doubt it would be legal.

ATS uses a standard switch, it can we blocked with a small screw making it legal.

at one point I was drafting plans for a selector group to fit an A5 E-Trigger. It would likely have needed a new board though because I wanted to add a)single, B)3 round at 15 bps c)auto at 8 bps. d)safe

It was also going to have a small allen key that could be tightened such that the switch would only go single/safe. if the key were losened off then all the modes would be accessible.

The point is likely moot though because SpecOps/Tippy has designed an external selector for their new X7 and they probably won't port their design to the A5 right away (it's a major selling point for the X7) and when they do add it to the A5 later why would they take a new design.

Oh well... great minds think alike I guess ... just sad that I don't have the resources to build them en masse .

I wasn't trying to. But with the price the X-7 is going for, it had better well work better...
