iT MAY BE LATE BUT i WILL THROW IN MY COMMENT. pERSONNALY i HAD THE Q-BOW AND I was not very happy with it at all. however it you have your heart set on a q loader, you can get it for pretty much any tippmann. Personnaly, i use an A-5 and X7 for sniping and neither of them has ever let me down. I did have a q-loader for an a-5 once. it worked well but in order to attach the q loader you will void the warrnty of the A-5 and /or x7. Hope this helps.

Tippmanns make bad snipers for serveral reasons:
-Stock they are inconsistent and inaccurate
-They tend to become heavy, useless milsim weapons
-They are LOUD
-They are heavy
I'm not insulting your choice, but there is ALOT better for sniper markers out there.

Any reason why folks are still giving this guy advice? Two years is a bit long to be debating the purchase of a marker.

Since i don't think anybody has addressed this fact, keep in mind that the q bow is now made off the ion, which is NEVER EVER going to be as solid or as good in quality as the tac one. You would be better off buying a tac one with a warp feed body and using a q-loader instead (if you wanted to), but the q bow ion is such a ripoff in my opinion. no matter how much crap you put on it its still just an ion. i really don't think buying a marker for such a specialized role is a good idea anyway, but especially not when its so expensive for such an average performance marker.

the whole reason why people want to be "snipers" is because they can be super awesome and long ball people with one shot, and everyone will they they "haz mad skillz". But that dosent happen very consistently usually, if all you do is long ball you may get a kill or two per game, and nobody will usually notice.

if you really want the thrill and praise for shooting people out with one shot play stock class, people take notice when you shoot them and their 1200 dollar paint chucker(not that they are a bad thing, i love my e-cockers, but the pumps gets tons more use) out with a 200 dollar phantom.

so, my advice is to skip the whole Sniper/milsim stage of your paintball career and get either a good electro(just as good for "sniping" as any tippmann/SO behemoth marker), or a nice pump. either gun is suitabe for any type of paintball, speedball, woods, scenario; but the "sniper markers" are way hard to use on a speedball field, and arent particularly suited for "sniping" even. Just take a look at old pictures of people playing in the woods, they all had cockers, mags, and snipers(pump cocker), those guns are just as valid today as they were then, and better in some respects

ok, end rant

I'm with gunhand, If you're totally set on the One Shot, One Kill mindset, look at a SC or VSC Phantom (or Gray Ghost or Buzzard if you got that kind of cash). It'll be lighter, more reliable than any ion, much faster and easier to maintain, more consistent out of the box (as in +- 3-4 fps), and pump will seriously force you as a player to up your game. But there's a trade off. You get one bps. Period. You might squeeze off two with practice, but you wont hit anything unless you are lucky. A sight would make a good investment. And you'll need practice. Plus, Stock class specific gear like a PB Mafia harness tubes, and 12ies or a 3.5oz tank (or 14/3k if you like HPA). Really though, SC makes for one hell of a fun game. Just ask any of the pump guys.

And along mass destruction's train of though, no matter how much stuff you put on an Ion, it's still an Ion. And no matter how much stuff you put on a Tippmann it's still a Tippmann. Perfomance wise, "high-end" electros or mechs are the best performance for the money. Period. They have better quality components. But really, not a lot of people can outperform their markers, so the point is moot. Just find something YOU like and get used to it. There are no "sniper markers." I'd say there are no snipers, but that's an argument I don't wanna have right now.

I'm not saying you should stay in place. I'm saying that if you constantly get your cover blown and you have to hurry to post an ambush your playing dagger. Sniper (stealthy marks-men for touchy people) should be able to eliminate a player and re-post an ambush without the risk of being followed.
