Anyone know what type of Drop Forward I need for a 06? I am planning on getting a big drop forward for it, I dislike having the tank sitting so far back. (Planning for a 5-7 inch one)

I like Shockteck drops by the way.

It could be but I think it's standard mounting holes... mine's coming in in a few weeks and it has a rail installed to the frame with a CP On/Off on it, so I think the rail is there because the On/Off is dovetail and the frame isn't. Or it could be the reverse... does anyone even make a rail like that?

Ooh, that sucks. Mine is still in Jersey... I haven't fully paid the guy, only 1/2 so far, but I can pay the rest this weekend. He doesn't like to ship out of the USA though so it's going to some relatives of mine in Delaware, and then to me. So I won't have it for another two and a half weeks maybe :D.

EDIT: MWB what kind of loader are you gonna use on yours and what tank? I've only got an Apache right now but I want a JRNY when it's released, and I've got a PE 45/45 coming in soon with a red NXe cover. The Borg is dust black with red Dark Seoul grips, so the cover and Borg will match, and both match my team's colours, and I'm buying my uniform for the team some time this year. Black and red ftw B).

I am planning on buying a LegionAir for it, but right now I have a PE 45/68 and an incredibly upped Reloader B. I might buy a VL Jr. Might.

Never shot any of their markers so I can't say anything.

Though I think I'll stick with my mags and an A1.

Yea, a VLocity Jr. was the other option I was considering other than the JRNY.

macdev is better than both of these. Angels are pretty bad on air, and you have to run low pressure. Mags are great, they only lack in efficincy. If you do have an A1, you should try out a borg somewhere, and see if you like it, and maybe trade.

MWB: I'm drawing a blank right now but if you ask on our forums, I'm sure TimberTiger can tell you off the top of his head. If it's holes to mount the drop-forward, I've got one that might work and should be about the size you want.

Galihad: Looks like El Toro Loco beat me to it. Quoted from Kai83 on PBNation (weights are in oz.):

Quote

Marker (w/o on off or barrel with battery) 27.6
Barrel 5.3
On/Off 2.3

So everything in box on marker= 35.2oz or 2.19 lbs...

And that's everything except an air tank and loader. That includes the battery, ASA and barrel which are often excluded from the "official weight" of most markers.

Maintenance is nothing more than a lube job once in awhile which is standard for spoolers. And of course, being a spooler, an o-ring kit is recommended to have on hand.

As far as upgrades, it was mentioned by someone on PBN that the MacDev motto should be K.I.S.S. (Keep It Stock Stupid:) ). Most of the upgrades for 06 and later markers from MacDev are either worse or equal to what comes stock in/on the marker. A different trigger would be an option if you have a personal preference, and MacDev has said they will be coming out with accent kits (different colored eye covers, Gladiator sleeves, feedneck rings etc.) to make it look purdy. But in all honesty, take it out of the box, give it a fresh touchup of lube (which comes with the Droid) just to be safe, and you have a fully-upped marker ready to shoot.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We'd need to schedule it but, if preferred, a few of us use Skype and that can sometimes be an easier way to ask questions. :P

sounds good ThirdI its probably a while off since I'm still in college and don't have too much money to throw around, but the Droid has deff gotten my attention my marker history has gone from an A-5 to an Ion and I can't stand playing with the A-5 anymore, I can only imagine what it will be like trading up to a Droid. Though I'm sure to catch crap at my field since they worship the mini's other than the 12 year old who has an ego.

I'm really excited about the RF thing, I don't have one yet but I'm looking into the Magna drive and if you have the option why not use it right?

I'm not an RF expert by any means but, the greatest advantage I see in it as a scneario player is that the loader will only be running when it's time to fire. For example, the Pulse is a great loader but it runs constantly, making noise and wearing down the battery. Add an RF chip to it and it only runs when you shoot.

As far as going from an Ion to a Droid, yes, they may worship the Mini but when you show up with a Droid, it will be something new and new is always interesting. Good luck on scraping the money together for a Droid or Cyborg. I'm a student myself AND I work full time. It's still going to take me until the middle of January to get the money together for my own personal Droid.

yeah don't know much on pulse but I can imagine how that would get annoying, I really like the RF because I have always been leery about eyes on hoppers, just seemed like another thing to go wrong, thats why I enjoy Empire and their sound activated hoppers, I just see RF as the next step in the natural progression of things. Man you are more motivated that I with the full time work, I scrape by with part time work and full time college.

and the paintball field always hate what is new, they hated my deadlywind CF barrel with freak inserts when I first showed them, then they saw it shoot :(

Well, with a wife, two dogs, a cat, a house, one paid off car and one car not paid off, the full time work is, unfortunately, not an optional thing. Oh well. Only a year and a half left until I start making the big bucks *cough*. Then it will be free Droids for everyone! LOL
