I was wondering If shooting a crono on one of the tips of this will mess up the chrono. I retested it in my backyard and it got 195, 197, 350 (no, not a typo) and i believe the 350 was right. should I change the batteries to fix it?

Is it a grey X radar? They don't read right when the battery is low.

The yellow chrono is a good tough chrono. Unless there are signs of it being smashed which I hink is unlikely it should be OK.

If random fps figures are given try a fresh battery and have a go at comparing chrono with a site chrono alongside.

I disagree. A handheld chrono is better than no chrono, and when used in conjunction with the site chronos make responsibe players - and reduces queues at official chrono checks.

The yellow Radarchron is handy and convenient. It was the only handheld available, Nowadays there are alternates e.g. the grey chrono gives BPS as well and does not need a reset between shots.

If it can be checked out as working it is worthwhile.

Copies of the guide for the chrono are now here:

(Note if you view them online and zoom in it might give you a low quality copy. Click download for a beter copy)
