Plain and simple, why can't Angels run on high pressure? Why do you HAVE to use a low pressure tank? Doesn't the gun have a regulator? Anybody care to share why? And if this has been asked before, please show me the thread, because I searched everything and found nothing.

The A1 specificly can't run HPA due to its regulator, limiting the HP input to a LPA Tank allows the reg to operator with less strain less coming in less force to hold back. There is a simple mod for the A1 that allows HPA bottles. The A1 Fly can take HPA and LPA bottles due to a new reg.

Like Steed said - the main reg isn't built for HPA. The marker can take it but you'll be firing over 300 fps.

ie. say the main reg can adjust the input pressure from 450 psi to 0 psi. Now with HPA it may adjust from 850 psi down to 300 psi. Well at 300 psi it makes the marker run hot.

The reg mod is taking springs out of the reg so that the reg has more adjustments. Or buy a new reg.

Or another way to look at it is like hooking a fire hose to a lawn sprinkler. Too much water (air) is exiting.

I always thought the best way to go would be a female stabilizer on the bottomline.

No, I will never get an angel, just I always wondered why you couldn't use a high pressure tank on it. Now I know. But I am about to cheat on it with an Infamous Timmy.

I cannot afford an e-mag, but I would love one, so I am getting my favorite gun, an Infamous Timmy.

A1's can run on high pressure, it's just not recommended. I bought my A1 Joy Division from a friend who had it running fine on high pressure without shooting hot. I currently run it on a 650 psi Myth reg and don't have any trouble shooting hot but I am looking at getting a low pressure. I borrowed an lp tank once and the consistency was a little better. With 650 psi I tend to get +/- 10fps. With the lp tank (400 psi) I was getting +/- 4fps. Basically, you can run it on hp but lp is definitely recommended.

Is it the same as the stock Reg on that BB?

I forget which models had the problem. I'm thinking A4 w/o eyes was one.
