My question towards Tyger still remains. In the original video you made it clear that you didn't think players could hit 350 feet with a traditional paintball gun/ and normal paint with any kind of consistancy, shooting at less than 300fps. Have I convinced you otherwise?

At the risk of being a jerk here, I admit you did hit on second shot, but problems with it as consistent.

First, the ball didn't break, and that's not an elimination. Again, admittedly, it got out there, but it didn't take someone out.

Second, 50% of 2 shots isn't consistency. It's 1 of 2 shots. Now 9/10 shots, that's signifigant. Now I'll take you word on it that you can do it that often, but I also hear people tell me that it's not a high percentage shot. So yes, I'll say it can be done, but I still say it's junk range if the ball doesn't break.

What I'd like to see, and a lot of people are sending vids, is the same thing done by several people. Yes, I am saying that you did it, and that you showed the ball could get that far. But if it doesn't break, it's junk range. I may try the 300' arcing shot with a normal barrel to show what I'm talking about, but that requires a lot of things happen, like my brakes get fixed...

I just wanted to thank Warpaint for his posts on this thread. This is a debate that has gone on for more years than I care to remember but it was Warpaint's thoughtful and balanced comments that kept me reading.

Actually, that's a rabbit.

He's a scrappy bastard too. It's got notches out of it's ears, and he constantly shoots me this look of "What-choo-gonna-do-bout-it?" He's been around here for years. He's a junkyard dog of rabbits.

See Tyger, your vids DO get watched by others as oppose to lazy bums who sit around poking wholes in internet vids all day :)

Thanks for clearing the ACES to by the way. And for the new rules, I'll have to check those out. Thanks for the update :)

I think Sniper is doable in paintball. why well When we hear sniper we think of distance. Compared to other Fire arms (I don't no nothing about distance on other fire arms) But Lets just say the M4A1 Shot 1000 feet. And lets say A sniper shoots more then 1000 feet that weapon is considers the Sniper( it don't have to look like One we only stereo type it to look like long barrel, .50 cal muzzle tip, Big scope, Huge silencer) So if the average paintball Marker shoots 135 feet and say the flatline or apex shoot farther then that it be sniper. basically comparing Apples to Apples then to Apples to Oranges. Yes you can do everything a "sniper"(what we thing a sniper is) in paintball. you can make a home made gillie and put grass and leaves in it, you can craw around on the ground, you get the point So long ass your maker is not more then 300fps and you ware your Paintball mask. by the way Real snipers guns are not Quiet there only quiet because there target is no were near them. Paintball sniper is Shooting 135+ feet. Long shooting if your good why not if you can hit your target. Most Real sniper arc there gun to over come wind, rain, snow, so on. So now lets say you can shoot 135+ feet now you need to learn to do it with consistency. Lets say a real sniper Can do it with in 2 inches on the target and do it with consistence time in time out. Not a paintball or First Strike are NEVER going to be prefect and the Fps is never Prefect ether(not saying a bullet is ether with in 2 inches)so now lets say you can hit your target 135+ feet with in a foot of the target. I lost my train of thought... we just need to stop comparing it to the Real Sniper and we need a new Paintball name to call it. Long gunner anyway love your stuff tyger

Question time...

So I was playing a while back and there was a guy about 120 feet away who was hiding under a fallen tree. The tree was large enough to completely cover his body keeping me from being able to eliminate him. I couldn't flank him as he had teammates on both sides who had me pinned into the brush I was shooting from.

I reached up, put my apex tip on full ramp, and flipped the tip over and took 3 shots at the player behind the tree, then reset the barrel to my regular setting (3 clicks) as the player behind the log stood up, eliminated, with a huge paint mark right on his head from my dive bomb shots.

I shot out the other two players, and proceeded to capture their flag.

After the game the guy I shot came up to me to ask me how I did that, as he was totally under the tree. And I showed him the dive bomb ability with my Apex 2 barrel.

He said, "but how did you know it would hit me at that range"... I grinned, and said "Practice"...

If you take a player that plays with the same gun that I play with, but uses a regular barrel, and put the Apex 2 barrel on his gun, and the two of us have the same skill level, the player that KNOWS the apex 2 will beat the player that uses the regular barrel... As that Apex player has extra shooting range, and the ability to shoot AROUND obsticals that the regular barrel just flat can NOT do. Plus the ability to shoot through hanging tree branches by changing the way the paint flies with ramp.

And the more experienced you become shooting these systems, at some point you stop being a "regular" player and become what some call a sniper...

Does the apex make a sniper... No, I think it is more of a player that really knows his marker, all the tricks that come with using that marker to get players out when it counts.

Here are some one shot kills and headshots that I captured on video in HD.
