I am a newb to the sport, but I have to say that I have gotten some brand new gear at pawn shops for very cheap !!!! I was worried that maybe the things had been stolen and didnt want to get into any trouble for buying it. My boyfriend picked up and EOS with a Freak barrel and Cyclone feeder and an Hpa tank for 199.00 !!!!!!!!! We checked out all the components on special ops and all total the complete package would have run around 700.00 !!!!!! So beware.....if you lose something or think it is stolen take pics and serial numbers to pawn shops !!!! Sometimes they will give you your items back and sometimes they make you pay a fee to get them. Either way......a police report is a good way to go, just make sure you have serial numbers for everything when making the report !!!!

Normally I stay near people I know me and my gear and bring just what I need to the stagging area. when I leave to go to the field the duffle gets locked and the should strap goes around a table leg. The only thing of mine that ever get's stolen are allen wrenches. Odds are not everyone is going to be on the feild at the same time. Other than that outlaw games where a staging area is nill and parking is 2 miles away I have a steel garden card that I made a gated lid for that's gets brought with me to the make shift stagging area. All other gear is locked up (including the handles) inside and it's chain to a tree. If some on can cut the chain and lug that 90lb best (unloaded) out of the woods he deserves to get it.

Here's a pic of the beast.

The runners are for a tray that slides to the opening for a quick work area for marker repair.

If you have a spare tire well (and don't actually have the tire in it) That is a great place to put your markers when travelling.

Something my University recommends for laptops and such, which I've done to most of my expensive gear....

Write, in sharpie, your driver's license number somewhere hidden on the item.

Since I'm in Texas, I wrote it like this: TXDL# XXXXXXXX

It's a unique number to you, and if it ever turns up somewhere, the fact that it has your drivers license number on it is a really strong indicator that it belongs to you.

If you don't have a driver's license, see if one of your parents is willing to do it.

Also put your paint with trusted people ( i still use rentals so i dont worry about gear, untill christmas =D.). I have had so many retarded parties take my paint thinking that was there paint >.>. It's not just crooks. some do it by accident
