Hey guys need some ideas/help.

I had a leak in my ion and i found out it was my banjo fitting. The screw that screws into the firing can was weak and leaking, when i went to unscrew it, it broke off into the rear end of the firing can, :D Any ideas how i can get it out without replacing the rear end of the firing can?

You need to use a screw extractor to get it out. if you don't have tools, take it to a machine shop and they should be able to do it for a few dollars.

Depending on where the break is you may be able to press the broken banjo together and slowly unscrew.

If not a strong knift blade can pressed into the remaining part and treated as a screwdriver.

If either method seems to take effort then you need screw extractor to avoid damage.

If I were you, and I had a broken banjo fitting like you, I'd buy a QEV instead of another banjo fitting (unless you already have a QEV)

All the banjos on the ion are the same, so you can just move them around to the right places when you put the QEV in place.

Actually that is not true. Two are 5/32" (4MM) hoses and one is 1/8" hose. The center one (1/8") is where the QEV goes.

yikies...yea I just had this happen...I had a 4mm, and the 1/8th inch break...

thats ok...theres a big game comin up, and my friend told me he'd buy the replacement parts for me, if I could get my mumma to pay for my paint/fees

I jipped him into buying me a QEV ^.^

but anyways, the 4mm I broke snapped in the front, above the reg...just makesure when your taking out the remainder with an extractor, you tighten it...extractors are generaly reverse threaded
