But what I love about the one on Glasgow airport, the only person that died was one of the Terrorists.
One is in custody and the other is in the hospital. Scotland 1 Terrorists 0!

The prime terror campaign we have had in the UK was the IRA. This is now over, (however that does not mean there is no activity in Ireland)

This weeks attempted and actual bombings are non IRA, and a slight worry is the car bomb deactivated was outdside Tiger Tiger, my girlfriends favourite night spot.

Nope, IRA have stopped the bombings, it won't be them. This is probably an Al Quaeda bombing or some similar group.

Not been going well for terrorist attacks recently has it, I don't really feel in danger when I'm in London tbh.

They have no idea who was behind the bombin attemps and the incident in scotland. It could be I.R.A. but that is a very large could it was most likley an extremist group that could be linked to Al Queda or just an independent extremist group. On another note the only active parts of the I.R.A. that are still active are the very extreme was that want to go to war with England most fromer I.R.A. members are now just living peacefull lives.

i'm curious how the Muslim community will respond to these attacks considering the terrorist were indeed identified as Asian which in the uk could mean from Pakistan.

There are still pockest of resistance in the UK though. The IRA has signed a peace treaty so major stuff like this shouldve stopped, but its a terrorists group so that might not mean a whole lot to them. I'm not saying it is IRA, but I wouldnt weed it out just quite yet.

The IRA does not chant "Allah" when they commit car bombings.

The moderates will simply stand by and continue to allow the "radical" muslims to preach their version of Islam unchallenged and allow them to convert their youth into terrorists. There might be a few clerics that openly condemn these bombings, but that will be it. Basically the same response as always.

Thank God those stupid idiots haven't figured out how to properly execute a terrorist attack yet. Crazy crap with all the terror plots being uncovered within the last couple months and this.

Haven't figured it out? Huh? Umm... Lets see, they blew a hole in the side of one of our ships, killing a few sailors... destroyed a barracks full of Marines in Lebanon... attacked a couple of our African embassies... created havoc in Spain... made a shambles of a couple of busses in the UK last year... brought down two of the tallest buildings in NYC AND tore a side off our national command center in the same day! If those aren't properly executed attacks, I don't know what is.

The Brits just got lucky with these attacks.

As long as we are being politically correct theres no such thing as "terroists", all is fair in war its just a term used in propaganda to support reasons for going to war.

Yeah but there are so many more effective ways of doing it. Blowing up one of those huge natural gas ships would be like a small nuke. Attacking airbases and aircraft carriers would be so much more damaging than taking out two buildings. It doesnt make much sense (note I am not one of those conspirocy thierosts who thinks the goverment took down the world trade centers).

Terrorism is a form of political extortion. Groups or factions (generally radical, militant, or separatist) without the might or authority to have their views or ideologies recognized and accepted by any other means resort to violence to be heard, typically against non-combatants or non-military targets...the more the defenseless or innocent the target, the more fear (terror) is generated, especially among a "free" society, and because they live among us. The military does not fear war, they exist because of and prepare for it, and therefore make generally less susceptible or exploitable targets.

Yes but so many more have been foiled in recent times. In the last 12 months I've counted 5 major attacks thwarted in Britain alone, major suspects captured and interrogated and 2 big-time preachers of hate deported.
This may have been a lucky catch, but overall it's been going well.

If thats true, every fighting force in the world is terrorists. Every army in existance has killed civilian population, and for good reason. Whos to say those "civilians" arent going to join the army after the war starts? Or make bullets? Take away the popularity of the war and you win. With TV and the internet nowadays its all about propaganda. Every army uses fear to their advantage. Why does the US and Russia still have large Nuclear stockpiles? To scare any potential attacker. Everyone knows we wont use them unless we REALLY have to and no one wants to give us that reason.

Go back to WWII. You know about Hiroshama and Nagasaki. Did you hear about the fire bombing of every other major city killing near 500,000 "civilians" by burning them alive? Does that make the US terrorists?

If you want further proof that this was an inexperianced attack think about the explosive mixture. Gasoline and Propane isnt an explosive, its an incenidary or fuel-air mixture. So? So why did they add nails. You cant have sharpnel with a fuel-air bomb. It wouldnt have worked, at he most it would have started a fire
