Im frequently out at CPX, not so much at fox anymore..
New field in East Dundee is 5 minutes from my house, and i work their.. so if you ever hit up paintball explosion.. let me know.
this field is changing the meaning of paintball.... like no kidding..
All their fields are themed fields (well obviously not the air ball ones)
they will have 1 recreational Air ball field
1 regulation size air ball field..
2 full themed fields are about 90% finished.
3rd is being constructed now.
and once we get more land we might have 2 more full themed fields.

I'm new to the area as well.
I tried Realms of Ruin once during the summer and nobody was there so I left after a couple hours. That was a bummer. I'm going to try that field again once spring rolls around because it is closest to me (32 min) and it looks like a decent field.
I went to Fox for a scenario game back in September. Decent field, good staff. It's a little far from me, so I'm not planning on going back anytime soon, but may for a scenario or big game depending on how my schedule works out.
I made a trek out to White River Paintball in Anderson IN for Battle of Stalingrad. It's a decent field, the staff there is awesome. But again, it's a long drive (over 3 hours) so I don't plan on going back anytime soon. Mainly I just went out that way because it was the only even I could find in November.
I'm going to try Hidden Cove Sportsplex in Bourbannais. They have a small outdoor field there. My concern is how expensive it might be. It's usually a bad sign when the website doesn't list prices. Not a place I'll probably go to all the time, but it's real close so I wanna at least try it once if it's not too expensive.
I'm looking at Badlandz hard. BYOP, reasonable prices, looks like an awesome field, and it's only 50min from me. If I like it, I may look into a membership or something.
I'm looking at Blast Camp in Indiana. It's an hour and 28min away, and looks a little pricey...but the field looks really cool so I want to check it out.
I'm looking at Firemark in Dewey, IL. It's only 58min away. I'm a little unsure on this one because I'm not sure if they can fill HPA to 4500 which will be a drag given my gashog markers. Their website also doesn't list hours, so I'm not sure if this place is open on the weekends or just for private groups...I'll have to get more information on this one.
I'm looking at Sherwood Forest in Laporte, IN. It is a pretty famous field. It's almost 2 hours from me and is pricey, but I'd like to play there at least once. I think they might be BYOP on Sundays, so I might try them on a Sunday.
And I'm hoping to try Fort Knox in Winamac, IN. It's about 1 hour and 36min away and looks like an awesome field with awesome prices, similar to the Badlandz.
Fields I'm "skipping" are:
Crossfire in Monee. It's real close, but it's real expensive and I don't care for Reball.
Chicagoland in Glenwood. It's only Indoor and it's too pricey. $90/case is rediculous for an event, but even more rediculous for walk-on.
