In your opinion, what is the best hopper for under $100?

I like the BT Rip-Clip. It's sound activated, designed by Halo, accepts all the cyclone hoppers, feeds as fast as you need it to, and there's no feed neck that might break. It's only downside is, it's a little chunky at the bottom and it only fits BTs and the 98C so if you need a loader that fits other markers it's out. I really like the fact that the hoppers are a seperate piece. If the lid or shell gets broken you can just snap on a new hopper and keep playing.

Ok, so what I'm hearing is, go with a VLocity Jr.

Now before I get all gung ho and buy one I'll list the loaders I was considering.

Veiwloader - Vlocity (not the Jr)

Odyssey - Halo B

Empire - Reloader B or B2

DraXxuS - Pulse

Now, do you all really belive the Vlocity Jr. is better than all of these?

I can't speak about each of those hoppers from personal experience. But my best friend runs a paintball store and has played some pretty competitive paintball and he recommended the Jr. I think there is some weird litigation going on with the Pulse which has caused their price to remain high... not to sure about them. They came on the scene and looked like they were going to sweep the market... then didn't! One thing about the jr that some people don't like is that it isn't sound activated... it has eyes. And once you turn it on it puts pressure on the balls... emmitting a 'binding' noise. This is normal, and by design, but I can see how some people wouldn't like it. I love mine.

I love the pulse - I have two. Fast and easy to clean. After that I would choose the Vlocity JR and install a new chip. The new chip will give you multiple tension adjustments, make it faster and increase battery life. (It'll outpreform a Vlocity then and just be slightly smaller.)

The Halo and Empire are harder to clean.

Hey slinkyaroo, what color are the pulse loaders you've got? The only issue the Pulse seems to have is that the feed necks break off too easily. Some people seem to have them break left and right, while others never had a problem. I beginning to wonder if the shell color may be an indication as to whether it will have an issue with the neck or not.

I got solid black. I've had a battery door break before. I sent it back and they sent me a new one. I haven't heard of a feedneck breaking in over a year.

Well, they haven't really been readily available for around a year due to the lawsuit.

My experience with hoppers is kind of limited since I mainly use gravity hoppers like the Archon or Cyclone hoppers... although when I don't rock the Archon on my Mag I use a Ricochet AK. Probably under-powered for your uses, but I really like the Ricochet design and how they work... no eyes, no sound, the balls just have to put pressure on a piece of extending plastic. Not sure if all Ricochets are like that, but the higher end ones seem like they'd make a good hopper unless you need a faster feed rate or don't like them for whatever reason.

And didn't someone stand on a Pulse when they first came out?
