If I were to choose one, I'd choose a cruiser. Crotch rockets just have no class.
I don't quite understand what you mean... I always thought it was the other way around.
I love the clean look and smooth, aggressive bellow of a 1000cc supersport. Also, if you're a young guy like me, they're pretty comfortable to ride, they just take a toll on your knees and forearms on long rides, and eventually your lower back. For for 30-minute sport sessions they're comfortable.
The thing about sport bikes is the control. On a Harley or other cruiser, the extreme rake angle, rearward, unaggressive seating position, heavy weight, and lazy rider form make them very boring in the twisties. On a sport bike, you're in a super aggressive position, hugging the frame of the bike and centering yourself over the bike with the rake angle directed downward from you in a very natural angle. Also, they're very light, making them very flickable. Then there's the acceleration; absolutely mind-blowing. Cruisers are very nice, look good, and sound good as well, but can't match the beauty and performance of a supersport IMO.
