I'v been hearing alot of bad things about cyclons on the forum. I'v noticed that people are having trouble with them. Well I havn't had any problems with mine. I'v only had amazing paintball feeding technology. Until I got my X7 in March i'v never had a chance to shoot an A-5 or 98c with the Cyclone. In my opinion the Cyclone is a great feed system. So hear is my review of the X7's cyclone (testing was done last Sat. & Sun During my normal weekend play) (results are not the same with the A-5's Cyclone)

DURABILITY: This thing is tough. I was running for thicker cover and as I was running my X7 cyclone smacked a tree. No cracks, or gashes, just a little scratch. And the cyclone still works the same as it did before it hit the tree.

SPEED: This is by far the fastest I have ever got a Tippmann to shoot. While pulling the trigger as fast as humanly possible I let out what seemed like 15-20 BPS, With no breaks, and no miss fires. I'v gotta say I was impressed.

LOOK: Simple, yet sleek, and cool. The low profile of the hopper part of thye X7 Cyclone gives it a very unique, and almost mean kind of a look.

POWER: No more buying batteries for my hopper (nice). Powered 100% of CO2 Blowback. Very inovative, and very cool. But thier is a downside, When you get low on air the Cyclone tyends to stop sycling. (not cool, but it is a good indicator that your running low on air (if you don't have a gaugeon your tank)

PADDLES: Just like a gumball machine. The paddles make for extreamly fast cycling. The paddles are also quit flexable, whitch makes it hard to break a ball it the cyclon. They look pretty cool to! and if you ever do get a miss fire or a jam in your Cyclon just give the manual loading rod a push and your good as new.

WEIGHT: Amazingly light concidering how thick the neck is. I was very supprized when I first held the gun, I assumed that becouse of the cyclone being on the big side that the gun would feel as if it was pulling to the right becouse of the weight. But I was wrong this in not an issue, the cyclone is light.

OVERALL: 9/10 The X7 Cyclone & hopper are great.

An excellent review! The X7 Hopper is what I recently purchased for a friend and it really is a step up over the much larger profile hoppers for the A-5.

I absolutly hate the X7 hopper. It looks awesome and all but the performance with it sucks. There isn't enough slope on the bottom so all the paintballs tend to go all the way to the front. Then you go to shoot and all ur shooting is blanks. It got me shot and I was only shooting air with a half hopper full of paint

You should look into the cyclone upgrades from TechT if you want to trick it out, also, the ups replace the flimsy parts that people have problems with. Also, get a larger tube for the intake and it will feed faster.

I take roughly 100 shots per kill, and I like it.

I'm curious. When you order the add-on 98 Cyclone, does it come with A-5 style internals or X7 style internals?

Just a side note, I highly doubt you were shooting 15-20bps unlesss you had ramping/FA on.

I was going to review the cyclone myself but youv'e already got everything covered. Good read and now that the low profile hoppers are out it's that much better.
