I was trying to get my freind to go woodsballing with me becuase his Ego appearently jammed last time he took it into the woods. His backup marker isn't working, so I'd like to know, how can someone who owns a highend marker step around this problem?

The basic fact is that people play as hard/harder on their markers on the speedball field as the do woodsball...there not gunna throw there guns around but HE Electros are using in rain, mud and sand fields all the time...how exactly did it break?

Also jam? How so did it jam...like it chopped paint?

Peace,
Teddy K

The cartridge didn't eject all the way. duh.

I find it hard to beleive the Ego didn't work becuase of the woods. It was probably user error or lack of maintainance.

You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last night, or that you got a ticket on the way there...your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth... live it... love it..

How the hell could you stop me? Why in the world would you try? I go hard forever that's just how I'm designed, that's just how I was built.

I'd have to agree on that. The only possible limitation on taking a HE marker into the woods is if you plan on going swimming or playing in the middle of a typhoon. Most quality electros are sealed up tight enough to make a little water not be a problem. And if an Ego jammed, I seriously doubt it was because of rain or debris. There's not enough room around the bolt for that to be a problem. Only way I could see debris being a problem is if he took his hopper off and let junk fall into the feedneck. In that case, yup, user error.

Jam?
Do you mean he chopped a ball and the shell got stuck?

Just make sure he has fresh batteries and his eyes are on.

i concur, most likely user error, i play with my ego and etek in the woods all the time at tactical, and i've yet to be stalled becuz of malfunctions, how long has he had the ego?

I beleive there have been multipul theads on this sort of thing....there is no way for a gun to "jam" unless you havent lubed your gun in a million years or have a low batterey, or just grabbed it by the barrel and started whailing on a tree with it.

No doubt. While Ego is spanish for blender, it's not spanish for jammer. If it "jammed" it's user error. If it chopped, well then it's an Ego.

In less words, he made something wrong with that marker.
