According to rule 1.11 , the NPPL widely publicized the new rules through the league web site and press releases making the rule change and testing criteria widely available.

so that applies to any field following the nppl - still not all fields

I've always wondered why it's illegal to have a non-lethal way to protect your property but it's OK to have a gun that can kill people.

harder for police to trace if a crime has been commited. they perfer you kill someone with a gun then they can just use bullet forensics to match it to your gun instead of doing actual investigation ^.^

i believe that it is a felony if you are caught with PepperBalls, so i dont think it is worth the risk just to be a jerk.

Reading a post where a guy (Knightwolf16) found out that on his field someone was shooting marbles around, i remembered seeing some Pepperball and thought, if marbles manage to go unnoticed, imagine the damage a guy could do with some of these things, they are literally paintballs, but filled with not paint, but airborne PEPPER SPRAY. The stuff is used by law enforcement agencys and the military to stop rioters in their tracks, i don't know about you but i wouldn't like this stuff shot at me.

I got hit with one and i can tell you.... i would rather be hit with pepper spray than that marble to the back of my head. Besides mace wasn't that bad.

but dry vomiting sucks
coming soon flashy graphics

pepperball.com has trainning rounds that are filled with an inert powder. They also have water & anti-freeze filled paintballs, they refer to them as impact rounds.

I am pretty sure but not completely positive about this but here goes. How many of you remember when the Red Sox came back from being 0-3 games to beat the Yankees in 2004? After the Red Sox won, there was a huge mob that was out and police in Boston were trying to control the crowd. This is where I am not overly sure but I believe that a pepperball was fired into the crowd from an officer on horse back. The girl was struck in the eye and killed. Pepperballs aren't exactly a good idea for the general populace to have.
The whole thing with the marbles at Canobie has not been confirmed, so it could have been frozen paintballs. What I don't get is if I am shooting from the top of a hill at 300 fps and I can't reach the players that are 50 feet from the bottom of the hill, how are they reach my position at the top of the hill if they are shooting 300 fps and not a flatline of apex barrel in sight?

heavier paintballs ?

you should be getting superior range over them if you are firing form an elevated position.

But it's OK to own real firearms that can kill people. That's what doesn't make sense. If you can own a real firearm that can kill people why can't you own pepperballs? If someone is on your property and you feel threatened or that they might steal something like your car you could use pepperballs and nobody dies.

I heard of some kid shooting cherry balls (you know the round cherry candys) through there gun My wife bought some one day a sure thing they are about the same size just a tad smaller than a paintball so I took my daughters spyder wasnt gonna use my tippmann and put about 50 of them in the hopper and went out back and they shot just like a paintball other than it was taking the bark right off the tree. If someone shot me with these they would have to have my tippmann surgically removed from there arse.

like i said. its harder to trace if theres a crime. if you kill someone with a gun its very easy to find out what gun it was fired from (except i think shotguns with buckshot) however with an arrow, knife or pepperball if a crime has been commited its alot harder to tell who commited the crime unless theres some witnesses or video.

also pb valley. a heavyer paintball wont give you much if any more range, shooting downrange will give a bit more distance but thats due to gravity and really you wont get very much more distance
