The California Legislature is trying to pass Bill 798 which calls for imitation firearms, a classification which would include paintball markers, to be brightly colored (i.e., orange) in order to distinguish them from real firearms.

This is a serious concern to the paintball industry which could require all paintball markers in speedball and scenario play to be painted a bright color. Help stop this legislation by writing to your California senator or assembly member asap.

And no, I don't believe you actually have to be from California to write in.

It's ridiculous really... how long will it take for a criminal to paint a real weapon bright orange and shoot a cop? Sheesh. Then legislators will just look stupid.

Oh, they look stupid all the time! Especially in California... Here, we need to make more STUPID laws... To treat EVERYONE like the lowest common denominator... Look, we're saving lives... yeah right!!

If you can post up some addresses (street or email), that would be really helpful... Let's do what we can to stop these idiots...

As goes California, so goes the rest of the world....

I can guarantee they do not care about people who write out of district, let alone out of state. They care about the people who DIRECTLY elect them to office.

I work in the business and know how it works. They only way you will get legislators to listen is to have people in their districts contact them.
Coming soon.

This is true. Be sure to write YOUR assembly-person or senator. Get your friends/spouses/team-mates/ex-girlfriends to write them as well. You can also write to the governor's office.
