just recently i was forced to get my nice snapshot barrel off using pliers... it didn't end well for the paint job

i just thought it would be a good idea for someone to make a grippy padded clamp for barrel removal and stuff so people like me dont have to crush the paint job with a pair of pliers.

There's strap wrenches out there. These are important when taking regs apart.

Yeah I'm sure you could make your own padding of a sort or find something at a hardware store made for some other task that would work fine in this case.

That's it... They come in set that range from 1/2" all the way up to 4" diameter

A Towel, Vise Grips and a Firm Grip with your hands always do the trick, did the same trick to tighten down the Custom Billet Antenna on my Truck to replace the stock antenna.

I do the exact same thing he does. Vise Grips are the best.

Just curious what kind one gun do you have? Only reason I ask is because if it was a tippmann you could have just opened up the panels.

all you need to do is put a 1-2" strip of rubber around the barrel and use vice grips. it kinda works like a souped up rubber jar opener, and you wont scratch the paintjob.
