I don't know if this is, or is not, the right place for this. However, I think this is probably the most irritating thing I've seen in a long time and I don't suppose there is any way to stop it.

Special Ops Elite Patch for Sale on Ebay

How badly do you want to say you are Elite?

And who sells their Elite patch? Are these fraudulent patches? The indication says that it may not look exactly like the picture and there may be color changes. Sounds like a scam, but who knows.

It looks legitimate patch in the pic and there were 2 types given out at EW (the colorful one [shown]and a subdued patch).

Okay....so dude is selling an elite patch. Just because someone has this patch on their shoulder doesn't mean anything. I could get BAMF on my shirt if I want and it doesn't mean anything either. The fact of the matter is, this guy is selling something that he has the right to sell. I could care less what it says. And just because someone has elite on their jacket doesn't mean they are. I'll watch them play before I start crowning people.

I look forward to the day that I can earn one of these. It might never happen, but cheapening it by buying this is wrong. For some reason, I just think this guy shouldn't have the right to sell this, but I know it can't be prevented. I guess it just grates on me.

Sorry for all you Elite people, but I think i's sad that someone would have to spend 2000 bux to get one legitly. I really think that the brigade is a marketing thing.

I take roughly 100 shots per kill, and I like it.

I'm really not trying to pick a fight, so I will be careful how I word this...

The Special Ops Brigade is a marketing device, just as much as the Smart Corps are. Anything used to sell product is a marketing device. However, that doesn't mean that the Brigade has not been useful in bringing together like-minded individuals to discuss paintball. I'm sure there are people on these forums and members of the brigade that do not own Spec Ops merchandise.

Didn't EVERYBODY that attended the EW recieved a patch. It wasn't something that you had to train and test for that only a few participants recieved was it.

In my belief the Elite Weekend ruined the Elite status...Actually it was allready destroyed when I searched for Brigade members with Elite status there were TONS of them. I think they were employees. So the Elite patch is handed out very easily therefor not a goal for me to get. I would sell my patch too. If I'm Elite I don't need the patch to know I am and it's an extra $10 in my pocket. The patch doesn't make you Elite either. So buying one is useless.
