indeed it is... i think it just spices up the front end a little... gives the marker something to stand out from the other sp-1's out there... it is you could say, a mod that does not make sense... oh well it looks cool...

dude it was sooooo easy....
since my sp-1 is plastic i used plastic primer, but in your case i'd sand it to rough it up, find some quality primer (which i think is the secret to keeping the paint on the makrker)
and then tape off what you want, use an exacto to trim edges and yeah...
this took me like two hours max with prep time...

yeah idk it wasnt bad, i taped off what i wanted... for got to tape off some threading and well now i've got one screw that wont go in but w/e i'll figure something out... maybe re-thread it idk... anyways it only took me like 2 hours... i'm gonna do the hopper after school today

I'm likeing SP1s more and more each time I see them. They seem like great little markers.
