Ahh, shoulda checked it first, but what exactly do you mean by dented? Like dimples along the surfaces or like squish spots where the balls were touching each other?

Nothing you can do about that. Try a new supplier or brand next time.

Pick up the paintball, place a finger on the opposite side from the dimple and push. Or you could try duct tape wrapped around your finger and press it into the dimple, then slowly pull it out. I funny.

I know how you feel, its almost the same way for me since I moved to Kentucky. I can throw a dead cat and hit 5 places it would be great to play outlaw ball at. But finding a pro shop is far more difficult.

Visible impact are good balls. Go use them and have fun. Next time just think twice on your options for paintball.

A friend of mine in Ohio uses Visible Impact when he plays. He has never had a problem with them. I visited him on a weekend he was able to play and I used VI also. I had no problems with it.

This is not really true.

It seems with the advent of barrel kits taking over the industry and higher volumes of paint being used per game there has been a great decline in paint manipulation.

Controling your paint it seems is a dying art now.

Back when you only had one barrel to choose from you learned the tricks to make the paint work for that barrel.

And in small quantities like 500 rnds this is actually very easy

Paint too small? Open the bag and roll the edges so it stays open, then take a glass of room temp water and place it in the bag. The water still in the glass...set the glass in the middel of the bag and arange the balls around the glass. Unroll the edges of the bag and lighty close the top. Let it sit. The water will create humidity in the bag and the shell will swell. You need to check it every so often to keep the size from going too far.
And when you check the size...stir all the balls in the bag so they even expand. This trick will also work on dimpled paint.

If you are trying to get dimples out fast. open the bag...roll the egdes and put them on the sink in the bathroom while you take a hot shower...the steam will do the work faster.
Or...get a towel wet...wring all excess moisture out of it so it is merely damp. Then poor the balls onto the towel, hold all the corners so the paint stays on the towel and roll it around a bit periodically checking the dimples.
Or...place a towel on the counter, pour the paint on the towel and place another towel over the paint. Use the steam setting on you clothing iron and steam the top again rolling the balls as you steam.

Now if your paint is too big you can open the bags and place it in a closet over night. the lack of humidity will shrink the shell.
Need it done fast? Open the bag(s), get the car warm, close all the windows and run the defrost on high while the paint sits on the dash. Just make sure the paint is not sitting directly on the defroster vents or it will shrink in an uneven fasion.
If you use the fast method you need to roll the paint avery few m inutes to make sure they stay round.

I have used these tricks for some very bad scenario paint and it reall does work. While every body else was blending paint in hoppers and Wagner power spraying out the barrels I shot lasers.

Most of these tricks can be performed at the field or in a hotel room when you are on the road...but like most things it is far easier to do this in the comfort of your own home.

Paint control is easy and when you actually take the time to learn the tricks keeps you in the game having fun.
