Gear Review 7 "Cheese Wedge" ammo boxes more from the vaults
Posted 30 November 2010 - 09:12 PM
Tyger pulls more out of the vaults for display, this time it's a 40 round ammo box that was highly popular back in the early 90's. This one is a WGP ammo box, but I've seen them branded with everything from PMI to Kingmann, so who KNOWS who really invented the thing.
If I pull my old pumper out of the vaults I'll show you what we used to do to make them fit on guns too. It wasn't pretty.
And before people ask, yes, my knee really is that bad.

Those things were great in the day...my first one was really made from an oil can, with a plastic milk jug cap as a lid.
It sounds primitive, sure...but wait until Tyger does a show about something called a "column feed" - the Stone Age of paintball!

I still run one of the ammo boxes on my original SL68II. (It just stays "PAINTBALL" on one side and nothing else. It is modified by the removal of the tines that Tyger mentioned and has a cap made from the cap off a juice bottle held in place by elastic cord. (You can lift it off and the cap will set on the top of the box in front of the opening.) Right now it is the only hopper that will fit the feedneck on the SL.
