98Custom ACT w/upgrades Imageflauge with a few custom touches
Posted 16 November 2008 - 08:01 PM
At the moment I am torn between a Crowned Skull (example) or a Griffin (example, example) as the image of choice. I'm not sure how the image selection process works - if you have to pick your own or modify existing ones, etc.
In addition I want 5 additional custom touches:
1. The un-warped symbol printed clearly on the top of the [X7] hopper lid.
2. Two lines of text:
I am coming and if I come
Pain is coming with me
located on the right side of the hopper. [lyrics from a favorite song]
3. Two words:
but I am unsure of the location. [inside joke]
4. My handle, ShadoAngel, painted in the nameplate area.
5. Milling off "Tippmann" from the left receiver half and the warning label on the right half.
I'm not sure how much extra those will run. Now, the marker I have is:
98 Custom ACT
Cyclone Feed System
J&J Ceramic Barrel
Lapco Air-Cool Machine Gun Shroud
M249 SAW Stock [possibly w/air-thru]
APP Rubber Foregrip
Rocket Cock 2
Also, I don't know which pieces you cannot paint. So far, I haven't seen a 98C with painted grips. Some don't paint the trigger or trigger guard. If possible, I would want everything painted.
So the big question - how much would this cost?

When you paint just the stock 98C, which visible parts are not painted? Safety, foregrip, rear grips, asa, rear sight, screws - etc. If I can figure out which parts don't get painted - I might hold off on painting one or two minor pieces and save a bit of cash. If you have any pictures of painted 98C's that you've done that show those parts, that'd be fantastic.
All in all, it sounds fair. Just need to save up a bit in order to get her done.
