This is likely a Noob post, but here goes... I am trying to assign positions as my group works on building teams. Without buying anything new, yet. My question is what kinds of guns have you experienced braodswords used for this position?

I use an E-mag, I have used a classic 'Mag and a 1st generation Spyder. As long as you can suppress with it, you can use it. I would say minimum is a semi. Someone said they used a pump. Just carry a good supply of paint with you when you play broadsword.

Anything will work. I use an old pirahna, spyder imagine, and spyder pilot. Best to choose positions on individual player styles of play instead of the marker they use.

Thanks Hunter! That is good advice. After I posted this I was thinking about the position, (and re-read the position info and decided the same thing! We do have a couple of fairly quick-firing semi's in the group. I will talk to the group and see who is interested!

What I find, is that people who enjoy playing a position, unconsciencely (sp) gear their gear towards that position.

Personally...
AKA Viking
A-5 w/ Flatline, E-Grip, a lot of things to make it loud and pretty
Bob Long Intimidator
Angel G7
Angel LCD
Brass Eagle Tigershark
Smart Parts Impluse
RAP4 Compact

I've also see...
E-Mag
Regular Mag (Tac-One, RT ULE)
Spyders
ATS-84
98 Custom
WGP markers

...As long as you can put enough paint downrange to supress your target, it works.
My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

my broadsword guns
03 cocker with zero-b board, eggy hopper
98C with R/T and riccochet
micro 2000 emag with Xmod and revy
micro 2000 with ANS phase II valve and revy
PCS US-5 with e grip mod and riccochet hopper
as long as it can shoot fast and keep heads down, it doesnt matter what you use. broadsword is one of the most versitile when it comes to marker setup.

Iuse either my heavily modded A5 or my heavily modded 98C's. I also carry at least 1 back up weapon, my Tac 8 and once I get my new vest, it will be 2 back ups (Splatmaster) since I will be able to carry my Tac 8 on my vest.
