I've been playing for several years, but have never felt the need to change either my stock markers beyond stocks, sights, and flatline barrels (basically anything available widely in retail) or I'd trade in my older markers for used custom models at the local pro shop. Since purchasing my X7, I've found its flaws to mainly be in the barrel. Though I've never encountered breakage, I find its accuracy, range (more of a velocity issue, I've had to keep it at 247 for a while), and loudness to be an issue. I'm thinking of purchasing a C-Series 16" black barrel for it, and I have just a few inquires on it:

Will the barrel fit through the stock X7 foregrip? The base of the barrel seems too bulky.
What do the barrel tips do? I understand the Apex tip of course, but the others I don't see anything special in, besides occupying the front threads and for the purposes of cosmetics.

The c-series barrels are good and i think the barrel should work with the X7 forgrip as for the tips, i think they are just for cosmetics. On that note it depends on what you like.

Alright, thanks. Well, worst case scenerio, I'll have to ground down the base to make it fit.

NO!!!

the c-series will NOT fit in the foregrip without trimming away of some of the plastic

i know because i have a X-7 with a 14" c-series and it required me to shave some of the plastic away

If thats the case you can just take apart the shroud and the plastic peice is removable i put my bt4 barrel in doing that its not like the barrel moves after its screwed in

There's an oring inside the shroud which kinda seals it for the stock barrel. You can take the shroud apart and take that oring out and then any other barrel will fit. - Or, y'know, just take the shroud off, put the barrel on, then put the shroud on... *shrug*

That wont work either  thanks for the wise butt comment tho....thats allways appreciated........

both the tip and the rear of the barrel are to large to fit through the shroud.

Yeah, give Special Ops a call. Whenever I call them they're usually very helpful. When my dogleg stock split they fixed it up and sent it back within a week.

Yeah, I LOVE Special Ops' customer service. I just don't like the C-Series.
