I just felt like talking about things ive seen as to masks on the feild.

last week i came across a player who was, instead of using a normal paintball mask...was using a miltary Bio-chemical gas mask simaler to the one i own-

But my point is that people arent very smart about masks.

Who has any stories about people with strange/nonsafe "masks"?

peace, ;)

i know thats its not safe to play without the proper safety masks, but at least they had enough common sense to wear something, it better than not wearing a mask at all i suppose.

Back when I first played we used those, well I didn't but my friend did. We didn't know any better. Luckily no one was injured.

You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last night, or that you got a ticket on the way there...your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth... live it... love it..

How the hell could you stop me? Why in the world would you try? I go hard forever that's just how I'm designed, that's just how I was built.

Try having a player run around with swimming goggles- one of the cheap $10 pairs- along with a neckguard and a thick cloth over his face.

shop glasses, gas masks, visored helmets, 3 layers of ski masks, and a few more odd things have been witnessed by me.

Of course i make it a mission to explain to these people what is wrong with their line of thinking.

My story seems to have a way of making it simple to do.
(side note, that dang thread of mine keeps getting me PM's about how I changed someones mind about goggle safty)

They shouldn't be allowed to play without a proper mask. Definitely not safe.

The expensive ones usually arn't good quality. And the people who use that stuff usually don't know any better. But I'm sure if they did "most" people would try to get a real mask.
